ECHO WATT romped to an emphatic 22-length win at Uttoxeter earlier this month despite being eased down on the run-in. He was handed a 12lb rise for that success, but is clearly in good heart and won't mind the drop back from 3m. Shintori faded away into fourth at Plumpton last time but is only 3lb higher than when scoring at the same venue in November, while Away For Slates hasn't been the most sure-footed of late, but was a winner on his latest visit here.
ECHO WATT had plenty in hand at Uttoxeter a couple of weeks ago so a 12 lb rise doesn't look enough to stop him. Acaro has a reasonable course record and could perhaps be the one to follow him home, although it also wouldn't be shock if veteran Victors Serenade proved up to still making an impact at this level having been rated a lot higher at his peak.

GRAND SANCY has a great chance of opening his chasing account in much calmer waters than the Graded assignments he has been handed by Paul Nicholls so far. The winner of last year's Grade 2 Kingwell Hurdle should have too much class for nearest rival Fox Pro, who ran well back on home soil at Exeter last month. Hot Smoked can follow them round for third on her chasing debut.
GRAND SANCY stands out in terms of ability and should have little trouble getting off the mark over fences dropping into lesser company after some respectable efforts at Graded level. Fox Pro is likely to chase him home, with Hot Smoked likely to need the experience and find this too much on her chasing bow.

Alcala made amends for an unlucky Ludlow tumble when proving too strong for his Haydock rivals. BOB AND CO also atoned for an eventful return by scoring next time at Bangor. He competed at the highest level in France and is young enough to rise quite high in the hunter chase ranks. Kelvingrove could be the one for third.
Stablemates ALCALA and Bob And Co both arrive on the back of impressive wins but the former's effort probably amounts to more given that he turned over the bold-jumping Wishing And Dreaming at Haydock last Saturday, so he takes marginal preference. FRENCHY DU LARGE has had the misfortune to bump into just one too strong in each of his previous three starts, and has been freshened up since his latest Sandown second. Market support is likely to come for him again and, this time, he should reward it. Jetaway Joey also filled the runner-up spot on his sole previous outing, at Market Rasen in November, and that form is quite solid. Lightning Gold was out of her depth in a hot Newbury bumper but her previous Uttoxeter second is evidence that there is an engine there.
FRENCHY DU LARGE hasn't done a great wrong so far, finding only one too good in a trio of bumpers spread out over a year, and this looks his chance to get off the mark. This slight step up in trip is sure to suit Jetaway Joey and he is feared most.
