MILE HOUSE appears an exciting recruit to the novice hurdling ranks and is strongly fancied to follow up his facile Stratford success. He effortlessly drew 14 lengths clear that day and is open to stacks of improvement. Lily Waugh brings some solid form to the table but she isn't the most straightforward customer and will have to pull out more on her seasonal reappearance if she is to cope with the selection. Ballyheigue Bay got off the mark under Rules last time and is respected, while Brother Tedd could take a hand on his jumping bow.

Lily Waugh disappointed at Cheltenham in April, but had previously been going the right way and she gets the nod to make a winning return, with her yard amongst the winners in recent weeks. Stratford-scorer Mile House is a danger with improvement likely, while hurdles-debutant Brother Tedd is also of interest for the Philip Hobbs yard.

LADFROMHIGHWORTH has been in excellent form this summer and can add another victory to his tally. He has plenty of experience over fences and can expose any flaws in the jumping of his rivals. Solstice Son has the strongest form of the quintet and has gone well fresh in the past, but he will have to be at the peak of his powers off this mark on his chasing debut. Comeonginger, who landed a C&D chase in April, and Vermouth Bleu complete the shortlist.

Ladfromhighworth is clearly thriving and may have more to offer given his upwardly-mobile profile. He can land the hat-trick, though none of the remaining quartet are without a chance, Solstice Son perhaps the biggest threat.

BALLY LEGEND has won first time out in the past and he is fancied to make this reappearance a winning one, albeit back over hurdles. He tackles the smaller obstacles from the same handicap mark which saw him land the BetBright Chase at Kempton in February, form which is the best on offer. Henryville can give him plenty to think about and is respected following a bloodless victory at Newton Abbot. One Lucky Lady and Hi Note are others to consider.

However, at the age of 12, Jeremy Scott's charge may be vulnerable to an improver so narrow preference is for THE NEPHEW, who turned in a creditable hurdles effort at Market Rasen and is expected to raise his game another notch now sent back over fences. Violets Boy has edged up 3lb for his near-miss at Stratford but looks the pick of the remainder.

Course winner THE KINGS ASSASSIN looked in need of a stiffer test when staying on for third over the extended 2m6f here last time so is fancied to improve now stepped up in trip. Orsm is the one expected to put up most resistance, having demonstrated plenty of stamina when scoring by six lengths at Plumpton in May before finishing a creditable C&D second the following month. The Wee Midget would be a danger to all if dominating and cannot be left out of calculations either.
