Alan King's yard is represented by Like A Hurricane who should give a good account of himself this afternoon. He spent last year on the sidelines but has returned to action with a victory and third in his two outings. A tentative verdict, however, is for MURCAR who scored over 2m4f at Towcester recently. He made a mess of one flight of hurdles but was always in command and a similar effort will see him on the premises today. Pure Anticipation won in bumper company last time out and warrants respect on her hurdling bow.
Like A Hurricane and Murcar set the standard, but both may have their work cut out conceeding plenty of weight to bumper winner Pure Anticipation, who should relish this test on hurdling debut.

Karasakal has the ability to see off his rivals in this one but he needs to overcome a lengthy absence. It may pay to oppose him with MAXWIL who finished second on his last start over C&D back in April. He needs to put in a fluent round and cut out the errors but should he do that he could take this. Spirit Of Lake shaped well when finishing second over a slightly longer trip at Newton Abbot recently and he is difficult to dismiss.
Karasakal has been given every chance by the handicapper on his chasing debut judged on an easy win when last seen, but he's been off 6 months and is fitted with blinkers for the first time. A safer option may be Spirit of Lake, who made a solid start over the larger obstacles when second at Newton Abbot last month.

This looks a fairly modest affair and RISK CHALLENGE looks more than capable of landing it. He won cosily over 2m1f at Huntingdon in a selling hurdle last week and looks the pick of the bunch here. Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge, Papradon, drops in trip and in class while Nobby Kivambo was far from disgraced on his last start over 2m at Worcester and could take a hand in the finish.
Risk Challenge bolted up at Huntingdon last week and will take some stopping off the same mark if in anything like the same form. Tony McCoy is an interesting booking for Nobby Kivambo and he can go well on handicap debut, while it'll be a surprise if bumper winner Regain du Charbonneau doesn't go close from this mark before too long.

Having returned from a lengthy break with a run over 3m1f at Wetherby last month, Milesian King steps back down in trip and should come on for that outing. He scored over C&D last summer, off a mark 3lb lower, and a similar performance today will see him on the premises. MUSTANGSALLYRALLY makes his third appearance of the year having finished third on his last two starts and it would be no surprise to see him score today. River Indus and Vial De Kerdec have solid each-way claims.
An extremely trappy affair, and Lidjo de Rouge is no more than a tentative selection. Vial de Kerdec will be a threat to all if fully tuned after an absence, while Mustangsallyrally has to be of interest starting out for Paul Nicholls.

LORD GUNNERSLAKE looks to be getting with age and made it three wins in four attempts over fences at Southwell recently. He returns to the smaller obstacles this afternoon but won off the same mark in a chase last time and looks sure to go well. My Matilda held on for victory over 3m2f at Plumpton last month and scored over this C&D in more testing conditions back in March. Play A Cord has been knocking on the door since returning to action this year and she is a danger.
A change of stable has seen My Matilda show much-improved form and she can continue her progress at the main expense of Lord Gunnerslake and Play A Cord.

A tricky end to proceedings and only a tentative selection goes for GLORY NIGHTS. He has finished third on both NH starts to date and should be involved on his UK debut this afternoon. Catch The Rascal finished fifth on her debut over this C&D and she should come on plenty for that initial experience. Newcomers Billy Merriott and E Street Boy are both worth a second look.
Glory Nights arguably boasts the best form of those with experience, but he hardly sets an exacting standard and the newcomers E Street Boy and Billy Merriott look more likely winners, unless the market dictates otherwise.
