SEA FLOWER made a pleasing start to her racing career when runner-up over the minimum trip at Ripon eight days ago and, with improvement expected, she can go one better this evening. Kevin Ryan has won this race in two of the last three seasons and his filly, Paper Dreams, is entitled to have learnt a great deal from her debut fourth at York last month, while Ya Hafed and Waltz Darling make most appeal of the newcomers and any significant market support for either should be noted.
Sea Flower sets a good standard and can get off the mark with the step up to 6f a positive. Paper Dreams was gambled on prior to her debut at York last month and should take closer order here, while Waltz Darling looks the pick of the newcomers.

Tropical Bachelor has been knocking on the door recently and seems sure to be in the thick of the action once again, but slight preference is for GULF COAST, whose stable won this race last year. The son of Dubai Destination has improved in each of his three starts so far this year and drops into selling company for the first time tonight. Grove View Star, another having his first run in this grade, cannot be ruled out with any confidence.

A number of in-form contenders makes this a competitive event. Kellys Eye won in comfortable fashion over C&D eight days ago and should go well under a 6lb penalty, but they will all have to go some to beat Sir Michael Stoute's TIMELESS STRIDE. The three-year-old stepped up on a promising debut performance when scoring cosily over a similar trip at Nottingham last time and doesn't looks badly treated on his handicap debut. Walvis Bay represents good each-way value on his seasonal reappearance.
A well-contested 3-y-o handicap, but Kellys Eye created a really good impression when scoring over C&D last week and can follow up under a penalty. Timeless Stride and Walvis Bay both have the potential to do better and are possibly the pair to chase him home.

It could pay to side with TAJNEED in what looks an open race. There was plenty to like about his second over the minimum trip at Beverley seven weeks ago and that first run since September is entitled to have brought him on. The extra furlong should also help his cause. Eton Rifles signed off last year with a cosy victory at Hamilton and should play a leading role on his first run as a five-year-old, while Esprit De Midas didn't lose by much over C&D last time and cannot be overlooked.
Plenty with good C&D form to their name and they could be the ones to concentrate on, the potential of Esprit de Midas preferred to the more exposed pair of Excusez Moi and Tajneed, both previous winners of the Great St Wilfrid Handicap.

Barry Hills has a fine strike-rate with his runners at this track over the last five seasons and RED FANTASY can better that record tonight. She wasn't beaten too far despite finishing last of 8 in the Group 3 Musidora Stakes at York last time and went down by a narrow margin in Listed company at HQ previously. She should prove a cut above these rivals. Ed Dunlop's newcomer, Invitee, cost 55,000gns as a yearling and could ask most questions, while Mainland is another to consider on debut.
An unexposed field, but listed-placed Red Fantasy will be a very tough nut to crack at this level. Newcomer Invitee looks to have a lot going for her on paper, and will likely run a big race if the market speaks in her favour, while it will be a surprise if we have seen the best of Queen's Scholar just yet.
