Verdict

AUTUMN ENCORE looked much improved on his local debut and is clearly going to be the one to beat. The gelding will need to overcome a deep draw though. EAGLE'S CALL ran his best race to date last time and is well drawn. SEVENTH LUTE lacks a strong finish but could place. STAR OF BURMA may be at his very best over 1000m but is not out of it and has Andrew Fortune aboard.

Verdict

YESAN STAR is having a merry old time of things recently with three wins coming in his last five starts. A wide draw and a rise in his merit-rating will need to be overcome. Verdict

BOARDING CALL has hit and miss form but if at her best she could win this easily. The mare was reportedly in season when disappointing at this track two starts back. The Corne Spies filly was only run out of it very late at Greyville last week. GOLD SHADES may have needed her course debut but followed that up with a win on the turf so she has to be respected. in this line-up.

Verdict

It is nice to see a Mike de Kock runner and CAPRICORN RIDGE should prove very hard to beat. The Tiger Ridge gelding was full of running when winning over 1200m last time. Jockey Randall Simons will need to keep him out of the kickback though from his wide draw. LATINO'S JET continues to hold his form and is sure to be in the shake- up. STONE PINE has to be considered.

Verdict

VARBRATION was at his very best on the Polytrack when trained in KZN but has not disgraced himself on the turf for trainer Louis Goosen. He could prove the right one if producing that level of form on the Flamingo Park sand. SARVE was not disgraced behind BARBOSA last week at Greyville but also tries this track for the first time. Respect VELVET VERONA and OLYMPIC OWEN in this.
