With the Michael LeCesse yard in such fine form it is hard to oppose recent course winner M SIX. The six-year-old has turn into a consistent performer in his most recent starts and there is no reason why he cannot go very well once again. B Team and Epic Legend can fight it out for the places.
This is a significant drop in grade for JOHNNY G, who has been keeping better company than this in allowance races of late. The last time he contested a claimer he was a convincing winner over 5f here in August. Fabulous Bear can add another runner-up finish to his streak, while West Bay Road can complete the placings.
A highly-competitive contest but the marginal preference is for BAJAN BEACH, who arrives here in fantastic form having run out a comprehensive winner of an allowance race here earlier in the month. That said, Midnight Champagne is also proven at this level, while The Lost Tigress makes some each-way appeal.
NATIONAL BUCK brings the best recent form to the table by some way, following his second in a similar contest over C&D a few weeks ago. Space To Repent chased home the selection on that occasion and he can do so once again this evening, while Sweetjiminycricket completes the shortlist.
AUTUMN LEAF gets the nod in this race because she is completely unexposed and there was plenty of promise in her clear-cut maiden win here recently. Lisa's Secret and Voided Contract both take significant drops in grade today and they could pose the biggest threat.
A very moderate contest but the clear pick looks to be RANDIE'S DREAM, who put in a much-improved effort when dropped into this grade over C&D earlier this month. He was only denied by a neck on that occasion and his supporters should gain some valuable compensation this evening. Cugino Michael is likely to be the main danger, while Magical Mirror can also make the frame.
LIMERICK LIGHTNING has not finished out of the first two in his last three starts in claiming company, which included a win on his sole try in this specific grade. Think may find the selection too good but he should he should be thereabouts, while similar comments apply to Swing Dixie.
HONOR BOUND would have gone very close to winning last time but for being checked badly early on in the race. With a clear passage today he can come home in front, with the likes of Awesome Heart and Stoney Soprano filling the places.
A tricky contest to close the card but the preference is for the consistent PERFECT GRATITUDE, who has been knocking on the door of late and he brings solid course form to the table. Classy Al is closely matched with the selection from a recent meeting and Crashing Colby would be a danger if ready to go after a break.
