OSCAR DAVY was far from disgraced when third on his handicap debut at Chepstow earlier this month and he looks sure to give a good account returned to novice company. Same Difference has been quite highly tried in his three runs this year and is accorded the utmost respect along with Triptico who landed a Hereford handicap last month. Mike Towey and Financial Climate also have the ability to get involved and they should not be left out of calculations.
Oscar Davy progressed again when a keeping-on third in a Chepstow handicap recently and can get back on the winning trail at the expense of Same Difference and Triptico.

SPEED STEED gained an overdue first success over hurdles when winning over 2m at Towcester last month and with that confidence boosting success under his belt, he can be expected to play a leading role again. Saltagioo has been struggling of late but he is beginning to look well handicapped and he could figure if returning to anything like his best form. Back over hurdles on his return to action, Grand Lahou is given a chance off what could prove to be a decent handicap mark.
The Tim Vaughan pair look the ones to concentrate on, with Towcester winner Speed Steed fancied to follow up from Grand Lahou.

The Disengager has been knocking on the door over hurdles and he is a likely contender back over larger obstacles here. Stormhoek also looks set to give a good account with blinkers applied for the first time but it might be worth taking a chance on TIMETORING. He finished well beaten on his chasing debut over this C&D last time but does look attractively handicapped now on the pick of his hurdles form and the application of a tongue-tie could help his cause.
Space Mission is a risky bet given his problems, but he's capable on his day and is worth chancing after a break. The Disengager and first-time blinkered Stormhoek are the others to consider.

AM I BLUE hinted at a return to form at Hereford last time and she is now rated 5lb lower than when winning this race last year so a big run looks assured. Rio Alto won between the flags earlier this month and is definitely worth a second glance back under NH rules this evening. Of the others, Glen Countess does not look too harshly treated off a mark of 99 on her handicap debut and confidence behind her would be a big positive.
Am I Blue took this last year and has dropped back to an attractive mark, so looks the one to be with after an encouraging effort last time. Rio Alto is an intriguing runner on debut for Paul Rich, while handicap debutante Glen Countess is unexposed and open to improvement on better ground.

HAROUET had to settle for second best over this C&D last month but that form was franked when the winner, Roi De Rose, won again at the weekend and Peter Bowen's gelding is fancied to gain compensation here. Causing Chaos was narrowly foiled over 3m5f at Warwick last time and he rates an obvious danger to the selection. Spirit Of Barbados is also worthy of consideration on his chasing debut and he completes the shortlist.
The slightly shorter trip is a bit of a worry for Causing Chaos but he's the one in this line-up who seems to be going the right way and is hard to oppose. Harouet can chase him home.

SEVEN WOODS went down narrowly at Newbury last month and that form took a boost when the third won last week so a reproduction of that effort would make Nicky Henderson's representative the one to beat here. Enter Milan shaped well enough on his hurdling debut at Worcester last summer and he can get involved if at the top of his game on his return to action. Loves A Brazilian and Mr Gee Jay should be monitored in the market for clues as to how they might perform.
Seven Woods very much sets the standard here and is likely to take a bit of stopping with the step up to 3m in his favour. Duke of Monmouth and Koultas King are a couple with good place claims, though money for the Pipe/Twiston-Davies newcomers would also bring them into the equation.

EXPLAINED might not have achieved a great deal when making a winning debut at Wincanton earlier this month but he was certainly impressive and is fancied to defy the penalty here. Liqueur Rose made a winning debut at Bangor back in January and she must be respected. Vinnie My Boy, Enfant Terrible and Kims Quest have all shown promise and are open to improvement so none of them could be confidently ruled out.
This probably revolves around debut winners Explained and Liqueur Rose. It's not easy to know exactly what either achieved for those victories, particularly the former, but Liqueur Rose just gets the nod.
