YETHOLM might be worth chancing. He was tailed off on his chasing debut at Doncaster last month but has some creditable hurdling form to his name from the past couple of years, notably when a fine second to Get Me Out Of Here in November 2009, and the drop into selling class could spark him back to life. Sun Tzu won well in a similar race at Stratford and shouldn't be far away if in a similar mood, while Cannon Fire was in good shape last year but pulled up at Taunton in January and hasn't been sighted since.
Always Bold and Yetholm will find this a good deal easier than recent assignments, but Cannon Fire gets the nod with cheekpieces back on.
Yet to place in three starts. Well beaten at 66-1 behind Street Dance when last of 10 on his hurdling debut here over 2m (good) last month.

SOTHISISIT showed plenty of promise in three NH Flat races during 2010 and with the Jonjo O'Neill stable in decent form, he looks set to mount a bold bid on his first public outing over hurdles this afternoon. Grand Schlem has some eye-catching form to his name when in the care of Francois Doumen, both on the Flat and in novice hurdles, but he's not raced since June 2009 and might be one to watch this time. Irish Flat recruit Taroum makes his hurdling bow for Evan Williams and is worth noting in the betting market.
Grand Schlem was third at the 2008 Cheltenham Festival for Francois Doumen and will take some beating if retaining anything like that ability after his absence. Hurdling newcomers Mountainous, Taroum and Sothisisit appeal most of the rest in a race where previous hurdling form is very thin on the ground.
Successful in a hurdle race and a chase at 2m 6f and 3m on good ground. Well beaten at 5-1 behind Flemish Invader when fourth of 8 on his latest outing in a chase at Huntingdon over 3m (good to soft) last month.

Andy Turnell's THE RAINBOW HUNTER has stacks in hand on official figures and although down the field in a Grade 3 handicap chase at the Cheltenham Festival, he had been running really well in defeat prior to that and should prove too good returned to novice company today. Ballyvesey should relish the return to better ground and could give the selection something to think about, but Cold Harbour and the others may be playing for minor honours.
The Rainbow Hunter was found wanting in Graded company at Cheltenham last month, but is taken to regain the winning thread back in calmer waters here, probably at the chief expense of Ballyvesey.

A trappy looking contest but MICKMACMAGOOLE is on a roll following wins at Ludlow and this venue and he could be worth sticking with. He's been bumped up in the weights but has been seriously competitive off similar marks in the past and the booking of 5lb claimer Aodhagan Conlon should help in that respect. William Hogarth is feared most, but Pure Faith is also considered a leading player.
William Hogarth and Mickmacmagoogle are not straightforward by any means, but the pair come here in much better heart than the rest and could well dominate, the first-named getting the nod.
Successful in two hurdle races at 2m 3f and 2m 6f on good and good to soft ground. Finished 8l behind Stolen Light when fourth of 7 at 2-1fav on his chase debut at Sedgefield over 2m 4f (good) in September last year.

Isle Of Inishmore failed in his hat-trick bid when last seen in September and the handicapper may have his measure now, so slight preference is for MR BOND. Andy Turnell's representative was going well when falling at Leicester last month and, having slipped to a handy mark, he should be tough to beat with a clear round today. Rash Moment continues to slide down the handicap and could have his say.
Mr Bond's jumping will always be a cause for some concern but he is handicapped to go very close and is worth chancing in this field. Rash Moment and Isle of Inishmore look best of the rest.

Sentimentaljourney, who cost 18,500 euros, and Wheres The Hare, who represents a stable with a fine record in this sphere, are interesting newcomers and should be monitored in the betting, but the safer option appears to be SPECIAL VINTAGE. Nicky Henderson's charge wasn't beaten too far into fifth in a decent bumper on his racecourse debut in February and he is entitled to have much more to offer now with that initial experience under his belt.
A tricky puzzle with several of the newcomers representing yards with decent records in this sphere, but the experience garnered by Special Vintage on his Ascot debut won't go amiss, and he makes most appeal. Benefit of Youth and Wheres The Hare are feared most.
