ARRAYAN landed a Ludlow claimer by a wide margin two starts back and was far from disgraced when runner-up over 2m4f at Taunton last time out. Improvement could be on the cards now he's returned to 2m as he appears to be one of the better treated runners in the race on these terms. Regal D'estruval has the ability to figure and warrants respect now dropped sharply in grade, while Mister Frosty has place claims along with Big John Cannon.

Top Tip: Arrayan (1)
Watch out for: Regal D'estruval (8)

Akula is the pick at the weights, whilst Arrayan seems likely to continue in form, but it could be worth chancing Mister Frosty who has had just 3 starts over hurdles, showing aptitude on each occasion, and appeals as the value choice in quite a trappy contest.

CHAPOLIMOSS sauntered to a 15-length victory over 3m at Huntington earlier in the month and rates the one to beat now stepped up slightly in trip and turned out under a penalty for that recent victory. The main danger may be Irish raider Roving Lad, who was still in contention when falling two out at Southwell last time. If his confidence hasn't been knocked by that fall, he could put up most resistance. Flemi Two Toes is 4lb higher than when scoring at Huntingdon in January and looks best of the rest.

This looks a good opportunity for John Ferguson's representative to open his account under Rules, while Harry Hunt shaped well in a 'jumpers' bumper' on the Polytrack at Lingfield and any doubts over his stamina at 3m are likely to be negated by this sharp track. Pass Muster is respected reverting to timber having scored on the Polytrack at Kempton in Janaury, but SEVENTH SKY was still travelling well enough when coming to grief two out at Newbury and he looks well treated off the same mark with this appearing considerably easier on paper. My Guardian Angel remains unexposed over hurdles and he should still have more to give despite a 5lb rise for his Sandown sixth in December, while Dresden is no forlorn hope returned to a more suitable level.

Quite a competitive handicap hurdle in which it's possible to make a case for many, but Pass Muster appeals as the type to be ideally suited by these conditions and still looks to be on a fair mark, so he is the tentative selection ahead of Fujin Dancer, Seventh Sky and Taaresh.

MARTIN CASH looked a different horse on his first start for new connections at Wincanton and he has plenty of potential to build on his low handicap rating. A 7lb penalty probably won't stop him, but King Ozzy deserves a mention after he chased him home on much worse terms and has raced off a mark as high as 120, so he can't be written off. Lord Fox had been racing over three miles or further this winter but looked much better over a sharper trip last time and rates a threat.

Watch out for: Lord Fox (4)

Martin Cash improved last time and makes plenty of appeal under a penalty but Lord Fox could enjoy the run of affairs from the front, and he is awarded the vote having got off the mark under Rules at Leicester when last seen.

AGLAOPHONOS could prove difficult to beat receiving the four-year-old allowance. He faces a much easier assignment than when finishing down the field at Newbury and the form of his two previous placed efforts read well in the context of this race. Boondooma certainly didn't disgrace himself in Grade 3 company at Sandown and warrants plenty of respect having his sights dramatically lowered, while Hortense Mancini and Focail Maith make up the shortlist.

Watch out for: Boondooma (1)

A repeat of the form shown when sixth in a Sandown handicap at the weekend should be enough to see Boondooma get off the mark over hurdles here. Aglaophonos could prove the biggest danger if bouncing back from a couple of lesser performances to the level of his runner-up efforts at Ludlow.
