BATHCOUNTY took advantage of a plummeting mark at Southwell, securing victory with something to spare. He carries a 7lb penalty but a similar performance should be sufficient in a contest that won't take a great deal of winning. Lions Charge poses the biggest threat on his first hurdles outing for Neil Mulholland. Sharpened up by a recent spin on the Flat, he merits serious consideration with Tony McCoy in the plate. Monroe Park can see off Charging Indian and Spin Cast in the battle for third.
None of these are particularly safe conveyances so recent Southwell winner BATHCOUNTY is probably the way to go. Monroe Park has a squeak, while it will be interesting to see if Lions Charge is the subject of market support under McCoy.

If none the worse for that mishap, he ought to be good enough to open his account in this sphere. Response wasn't far behind him in terms of ability on the level, and he is feared most on his NH bow. Aviator and Ashkoun also enter calculations and complete the shortlist.

DE KERRY MAN returned from a short break in scintillating form at Fontwell with an excellent front-running display. There is a strong likelihood that he can gain an uncontested lead once more, and he is fancied to gallop his rivals into the ground. Alright Benny has had a productive time of things this winter and looks the logical danger given his solid course form. Tribal Dance is the pick of the remainder, although Dashing George has dropped to an incredibly attractive mark and can't be totally ruled out.
It's difficult to look beyond DE KERRY MAN, who has turned over a new leaf since tackling the larger obstacles. Indeed, the manner of his victory at Fontwell 8 days ago strongly suggests that a 7 lb penalty won't be enough to anchor him. It is most disappointing that ZAMOYSKI has yet to open his account over hurdles given the strong level of form he achieved in his first three outings. He deserves one final chance, though, with the combination of a step up in trip and return to handicap company expected to suit. Weybridge Light has been running well in defeat of late, over timber and on the all-weather, and he ought to be on the premises once again. Azabitmour and Cafe Au Lait merit consideration too.
It's worth taking a chance on OUR PHYLLI VERA, who has slipped back to her last winning mark and first-time cheekpieces could help spark a revival. Cafe Au Lait will be a big threat if reproducing the form of his latest effort, while Weybridge Light is also worth considering.

LUCKY PRINCE let favourite-backers down at Plumpton but is worth another chance now taking a big step up in trip off an attractive handicap mark. Aviador has run well in defeat the last twice, caught in the last stride by the reopposing Flemi Two Toes most recently, and is the likeliest danger to the selection. The latter may struggle to confirm the form under a penalty but should go well nonetheless, while Sandynow holds solid place claims.
Neither AVIADOR nor Sandynow has stood much racing in recent years, but the pair are well handicapped as a result and both shaped well last time, with marginal preference for the former. Lucky Prince downed tools when well backed on stable debut in January, but is dangerous to omit from calculations.
