Stronghold produced what was a career best here last week over 10 furlongs and with the step up in trip aiding improvement then, it would be no surprise if there was more to come now tackling 1m4f. Bibliotheca ran an encouraging race when third here in November and is another set to be suited by the extra yardage encountered now. However, preference is for the reappearing MACHIAVELLI, who went close twice on turf in the summer and could play a leading role if taking to the Polytrack on his first start for Denis Hogan.

HEY PRETTY gave an in-form winner a scare when second here two weeks ago and looks ideally drawn in stall one to pose a big threat to all once more. La Novia got the better of the selection on that day but there is a 5lb swing in the ratings now and the form can be reversed. Nisior Donn just bumped into one here last week and is noted, while Lunastar could bounce back from a poor run last time.
