HODD'S GIRL might complete the hat-trick in an open-looking handicap. She initially showed just limited ability but has improved dramatically in recent weeks and while she now competes from a career-high mark of 65, she's open to plenty more progression being a 4yo sprinter and is again helped by her rider's 7lbs claim. Drish Venture similarly is chasing a hat-trick and is himself just a 3yo. He won at this trip on his latest start and while he should cope with a 5lbs rise, he meets older rivals for the first time today. Dandy Spirit has been in excellent form in recent months and while well enough held on his most recent start, he drops back to 5f today which will help and first-time blinkers could also sharpen him up. Ecclesiastical ran well on his first Dundalk handicap run last month and should get involved from 3lbs higher today, while Aloysius Lilius was in good form when last seen in December and has place claims.

Regally bred SWIFT VERDICT got his act together in winning his maiden over course and distance last month and can win from his revised mark. By Dubawi and out of an Irish 1,000 Guineas winner, his form for John Gosden was nothing special and while he flopped on his first two Irish starts, showed good ability in winning last time and looks the type to better his 79 rating. Tower Of Pisa, also well bred, is another capable type who easily won an ordinary maiden in December. She is capable of more progression from her mark of 86 but might find the selection too strong. Pempie herself won a handicap comfortably over C&D in January and should go well. She has been hit with an 11lb hike but comes here very much fit and well. Bluebeard's Castle has progressed very well in recent times and while he now competes from a career-high mark of 91, is also just 2lbs higher than when winning here in December and should get involved. Anna Bunina disappointed on her previous all-weather run in 2019 and while she is an able hurdler, might struggle under top weight here.

MUST BE DREAMING is a speculative selection to win on reappearance. She showed nothing in her three maiden runs and while her handicap debut at Bellewstown in August was similarly unexciting, that 7f trip was surely on the sharp side as she stayed on nicely enough late on. Out of a smart mare rated 98 at her peak (and a descendent of Arc winner Allez France), MUST BE DREAMING should benefit from today's faster surface over this longer trip and is also 6lbs lower than her Bellewstown run. Storm Elza has progressed well in recent times and although she is 6lb higher than when winning here 16 days ago, should still go well despite her big weight. Everyhouronthehour similarly has plenty weight but is proven at this grade and comes here fit and well, running from the inside draw. Sam Missile was rated in the 90s at his peak and while no longer the same force being an 8yo, ran well over C&D last month and can get involved today.

BLACKSTONE CLIFF has been quite progressive in recent times and can win again. His form has been very consistent at this venue this winter and while beaten on both his last two starts, he is proven at this grade and comes here fit and well in a winnable race. Gormanston similarly has been running consistently well all winter and while behind the selection here in January, he did meet interference then before running on late and should get involved today. Strip Light's form is largely ordinary but wasn't beaten too far latest, while neither were Monsieur Piquer and Odd Venture and they could also get involved for the placings.

LILANDRA has shown enough to suggest she will win this ordinary maiden. She initially showed nice promise for Ger Lyons and while her form ultimately plateaued, she ran a nice race when third here seven days ago. She steps up to a mile today, having done most of her racing at 7f, but her same rider is able to claims 7lbs today, which is a help. Dream Round is herself quite consistent and also comes here in good form. She ran well over 1m4f here last month and while the drop in trip shouldn't pose too many problems given she was second at a mile in Southwell last November, she might still struggle to beat the selection. Sienna Lady has a similar level of ability and also shouldn't have any problem dropping to a mile and can get involved for the placings. The Bog Bank hung when eased on her last start here in November but is better judged on previous efforts and can also get involved for the placings.

This is a remarkable February 'moneyed maiden' and well bred DEVIL'S OUTLAW might score, having failed to sell for 785,000 dollars as a yearling. Out of a Grade 3 winner and a half-brother to an American Grade 1 winner, Devil's Outlaw's breeders retain ownership and having improved on his debut run in December (racing green) when narrowly touched off here recently, is open to more progression and stepping to a mile should suit today. Star Harbour himself cost a cool E400,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to two black-type performers. He has shown some promise on his two starts todate but while he has 2L to find with the selection on recent form, is almost sure to be suited by the extra distance today being by Sea The Stars. Rocky Sky ran a promising race on debut for previous trainer/owner Una Corcoran here in December and has since changed hands. Out of an Italian Listed-placed dam, she is capable of plenty progression and should get involved at the business end. Virtual Hug has some useful bits of form but might bump into a few too strong while You Owe Me Money, whose story has yet to be told, needs to improve to win but has some minor place claims.

Twelve-time winner Political Policy helped put Gavin Cromwell on the map and half-brother HOWYOULIKETHAT looks another who might win races for the Champion Hurdle winning trainer. Howyoulikethat has shown encouragement on all three starts todate and having missed the break over this trip on debut, subsequently ran well twice over shorter trips and finished to good affect over 7f here last week. He should comfortably better his 64 rating and could well win on handicap debut today. Kudbegood has won just twice from 32 starts but those wins have comes in recent months. He comes here clearly fit and well and is a fine campaigner at this level. St George's Head is a dual winner this winter and has just his second start at a mile today. Koybig is a six-time winner and while now a 9yo, his rating has fallen back down in recent times and he could get involved for the placings.

HARRY'S BAR can prove best in a smart contest.
