Hasopop was well backed prior to his Kempton debut and could prove capable of better than that modest showing. However, given the potential of a few of the newcomers in opposition, he might be worth opposing on balance. Market confidence behind the Spivey Cove, a speedily-bred son of Royal Applause, would have to be taken seriously with similar comments also applicable to the Godolphin debutant Quintilian. However, given Richard Hannon is 2-2 for owner Hamdam Al Maktoum so far, 200,000-dollar purchase THE TAJ looks worth keeping onside first time out.
Those with experience don't set a high standard and this very much has the look of a race which will go the way of a newcomer, Quintilian and The Taj both making obvious appeal, the latter getting the nod. Mickstathetricksta's yard has made a bright start with juveniles this year and he also makes the shortlist with Fallon up.

QANNAAS got himself badly worked up in the preliminaries before his reappearance at Newmarket's Craven meeting, unseating Paul Hanagan on his way to post, and deserves another chance to build on the high level of promise he displayed as a juvenile. Unex Annigoni went into a few notebooks following his Goodwood third on debut and he looks to the type to improve from that initial experience, while Last Supper was much improved at Chester last month and is entitled to run well again.
Unex Annigoni is taken to confirm last month's debut promise. Qannaas looks the main danger, though Vital Calling also won't be far away if able to get back to his debut form.

A return to form could see both Classic Colori and Kiwi Bay involved but a solid case can be made for HONEYMEAD. Richard Fahey's charge has done little wrong so far this year, finishing second on each of her last two starts, and further improvement still looks on the cards. Making Eyes progressed last season and looks to have improved again judged by her Ascot reappearance success, while Indian Jack enters calculations on the back of some solid recent displays.
Classic Colori is on a fair mark and is perhaps worth chancing with his reappearance behind him. Indian Jack met trouble at Haydock last time and looks set for a big run, while Obligada could go well at a price if tuned up after an absence on his first start Tobias Coles.

ANDALIEB was forced to endure a troubled passage when a fast-finishing fifth at Newmarket last month and he looks worth another chance to finally get off the mark. The selection shaped with an abundance of promise in twice finishing runner-up as a juvenile and he makes more appeal than Peter Anders, who opened his account in game fashion at Southwell last time and remains capable of better. The consistent Magic Destiny is also considered.
A wide-open handicap in which Peter Anders gets a tentative vote to follow up his battling Southwell success off just a 2 lb higher mark. There are plenty of potential dangers, including Andalieb, who was badly hampered at Newmarket last time, and Magic Destiny.

QARAABA bumped into a filly going places when chasing home Danadana at Newmarket last month and despite another rise in the weights, she looks good enough to concede weight all round. In splendid form so far this summer, the selection was a ready winner over this C&D on her penultimate start and should have too many guns for recent Newbury winner Maven. A return to from could see Askaud involved with Jiwen also respected.
Qaraaba goes from strength to strength and a repeat of the form she showed at Newmarket will make her hard to beat. El Torbellino and Jiwen rate the main dangers.

Recent Folkestone winner Naseem Alyasmeen is sure to prove popular turned out under a penalty but this looks a shade tougher, with NICHOLASCOPERNICUS providing stiff opposition. The Medicean colt has finished second in both starts so far this spring but is clearly capable of winning races and should improve again for this further step up in trip. Arley Hall turned in an improved effort at Leicester recently and she rates best of the rest.
Naseem Alyasmeen had a bit up her sleeve when scoring at Folkestone last week and may be up to defying her penalty. Nicholascopernicus looks the main danger.
