While slight question marks remains over Sir Harry Ormesher's ability to see out 3m, Alan King's yard couldn't be in better form and his spin behind the World Hurdle-bound Oscar Whiskey in a "jumpers' bumper" at Kempton last month will have done him the world of good. Preference, however, is for CORKAGE, who has gone up 3lb for a gallant effort over the C&D last month. He appeared to thrive when stepped up in trip that day and Keith Reveley's charge remains weighted to win races, despite a 3lb rise. Catterick winner Allow Me is another interesting contender.
Corkage shaped best when collared close home over C&D 10 days ago, and looks a good bet to go one better in a weaker contest. Kangaroo Court and Sir Harry Ormesher are 2 well-treated rivals who arrive here fit from a spin in AW bumpers.

A small but intriguing field in which MOON INDIGO sets a good standard. John Wade's gelding was by no means disgraced when last of three (beaten just three lengths) behind the useful Bold Sir Brian at Kelso last time out. He appears versatile in regards to underfoot conditions and is expected to see out this trip. Five Star Wilsham has his winning form over this C&D and may put up the most resistance. Beneficial Reform and Mr Moss must also enter calculations, despite the latter running like something was amiss when last sighted in November.
All 4 can be considered in this affair, with Moon Indigo the pick on ratings, but he's passed over in favour of Mr Moss, who isn't fully exposed, and comes from a yard hitting top form.

John Wade landed this pot as a trainer last year with Always Right and bids to follow up as an owner with the Keith Reveley-trained Benny Be Good. He may just struggle at the top of the weights, though, and with that in mind Junior and NEPTUNE EQUESTER are preferred. The former, who won the Kim Muir in great style last year, is as short as 12-1 for the Grand National next month, but the selection gets in under a low weight for this event and looks to have conditions in his favour. Brian Ellison's gelding won at Haydock over 3m4f earlier this term and may have since found the deep winter ground against him. Also keep an eye on the Aintree-bound West End Rocker, who was back to his best at the Liverpool track in the Becher Chase when last sighted in December.
Junior and West End Rocker can both complete their National preparations by running well, but Benny Be Good gets the vote to return to winning ways back over fences.

Having scored with ease in an Exeter bumper last April, ALAND ISLANDS was soon purchased by leading owner J P McManus and was again seen to good affect when breaking his duck over timber at the first attempt at Hexham in November. He returns to the track following another break and, if ready to roll, the son of Stowaway is expected to defy his weight penalty. The improving Amron Lad is feared most for the in-form Donald McCain, while David O'Meara's Pittodrie Star is another with claims.
Aland Islands is likely to be popular, but he must defy a penalty and a 120-day absence for a yard that has been struggling, so preference is for Pittodrie Star, who has been running to a fair level and should appreciate this step up in trip. Amron Lad and Civil Unrest can also hit the frame.

Brian Ellison bids to land this race for the second year running, this time with Ultimate, who wouldn't be winning out of turn under 7lb claimer James Best. Slight preference, though, is for TAKEROC, who appears to have a big run up his sleeve off this mark. The son of Take Risks gave the reopposing Quicuyo a 12-length beating at Aintree last October and is even better off on today's terms. The consistent Woody Waller makes most appeal of the others.
Woody Waller has been running with great credit in defeat this winter and he can gain compensation in a race that isn't as competitive as might have been expected. Course-specialist Quicuyo and top-weight Takeroc look best of the rest.

The Bob Back gelding looked a useful sort when landing a bumper over this trip at Stratford last March and, while he has failed to recapture that form so far over hurdles, he has been given a chance by the assessor and good ground seems to suit. The Right Time is a filly open to plenty of improvement and could run into a place at a rewarding price, while Thunderstruck was seen winning a Lingfield handicap on the Flat four starts ago and must not be overlooked now reverting to timber.
Thunderstruck is a much better performer than when last plying his trade over hurdles, and can take advantage of what could be a lenient mark in this sphere. Kingdom of Munster will be a threat if repeating his latest run, while Muwalla is the type to improve now handicapping.
