HATCH HALL only went down by a short head at Clonmel at the beginning of the month and that is the best piece of form on offer here. Since then he has managed to fill the runner-up position once again, this time on the Flat at the Curragh. Moving Target and Woodford Island both represent powerful connections and have to be respected, while Annadiamond and Tithonus are others that enter calculations.

Watch out for: Moving Target (5)

ANNADIAMOND and Hatch Hall set the standard on hurdles form, with the former marginally preferred as a dual-Flat scorer. Bumper-winner Pashtunwali is likely capable of better in this sphere so appeals as the pick of the remainder.

GRECIAN TIGER wasn't disgraced when last seen at in the Irish Cesarewitch a week ago, and prior to that he was a good winner of of a novice hurdle over 2m4f at Listowel. The form of that latter run was boosted when the third won at Punchestown earlier this week. Prickly is another who put in a decent effort on the Flat last time, although he was disappointing when last seen over hurdles. Both of the others have chances, with a slight preference going to Westerner Lady.

Watch out for: Prickly (2)

GRECIAN TIGER appears to be on an upward curve in this sphere, getting off the mark in good style last month, so he looks the way to go back over hurdles after a creditable run in the Irish Cesarewitch. Westerner Lady is another open to improvement and looks the likely danger.

Crown Theatre enjoyed a return to hurdles when second in a competitive handicap at Navan last time and if he were to take that form back to fences then he'll be thereabouts. His stablemate Tisamystery won well last time and deserves respect, a sentiment that also applies to Ballyfinboy. This is the weakest race that UN BEAU ROMAN has contested for some time and he is now 1lb below the mark he was second off at the Galway Festival. Gentleman Duke and Usa are others that have to enter calculations.

Padraig's Joy should not be underestimated after she hacked up at Fairyhouse last weekend, though perhaps GUITAR PETE will prove too strong on his return to a sounder surface. The Grade 1-winning hurdler was unable to supplement his first chasing success when encountering slower underfoot conditions at Listowel last month, but might be worth another chance. The same ownership are represented by Shadow Catcher, who has been banging on the door in recent starts, while the former pointer Nickname Exit is an interesting contender on his first look at regulation fences.
