Mighty Validar is improving and should pose a serious threat here, but the one to beat appears to be MR SEE SAW. William Komio's charge is used to competing in a higher grade and went very close over this distance at Pimlico last month. Elsewhere, Cosmic Coffee could figure on his best form.
It's A Gala has sound claims on the speed-figures but has something to prove on turf, so the preference is for LUCKY CHAP. James Day's gelding has returned to form recently - going close on his last two starts - and is the fastest over this distance. Cradle Will Rock is moving in the right direction and can't be ruled out.
KILBRIDE RD has been knocking hard on the door since switching to turf and has proved he goes well here recently. He deserves a reward today, although he is likely to face strong competition from Mark The Shark who, like the selection, filled the runner-up berth over C&D last time out.
GRACIOUS GOODNESS showed notable improvement to go a close third in a similar event over C&D last time out, there should be more in the tank and he wouldn't have to find much to get it right today. Track Bar ran a good second over 1m1f here latest and has obvious claims on that form, while Gibby can't be ruled out for an in-form stable.
With a bit more luck, SAY NO JUSTIN would have achieved more than 3 placings in his last 3 outings and today could be his day. He was around 6 lengths in front of Isn't True (one of his main rivals today) when just denied in a similar event earlier this month and put up the highest last speed-figure. Two T's will appreciate a return to dirt and could ask the selection questions as he drops in grade.
Rescigno and Belle's Broker both got off the mark here last time out but will need to improve again as they step up in class today. Nashly's Groom drops in grade and should now be cheery-ripe on his third start since a lay-off, but GREYLOCK could hold the key. James Ryerson's charge is the fastest at this trip and the line just came too soon against similar oppostion over 1m here latest.
My Hidden Storm has regularly been in the thick of things in similar events in recent months and looks sure to be again here. However, she was just bettered by MOOD INDIGO as Michael Moran's filly filled the runner-up berth (Love Gem 4th) over an extended 1m here last time out and the latter has more scope for improvement on only her sixth start. Juley's Diamond broke through here last time out and warrants respect as she steps up in class.
