Collateral Damage has shown ability and is fancied to appreciate the step up in trip, while Crosby Vision and Warsaw Pact should come on for their respective debuts. However, they may be fighting it out for the silver medal as MUTAMARRES is tough to oppose. Sir Michael Stoute's colt improved on his opener to go a close second over C&D from a poor draw latest and there should be more to come.
Trinculo has every chance on the formbook but has the worst of the draw to overcome here and the preference is for TURN ON THE STYLE. The well drawn gelding disappointed over further latest but has been in good heart all summer; he still looks off a fair mark and likes a bit of cut in the ground. Talcen Gwyn also breaks from a favourable post and is a threat back over his preferred trip.
INDIAN MAIDEN landed a similar C&D event in July and is taken to repeat that achievement from a good draw. She arrives in good order as she nearly scooped a Listed prize on unsuitably fast ground at Pontefract before performing better than her long odds suggested in a Group 1 last week. All For Laura has been in the thick of things on all three starts this term and should feature, but Pivotal's Princess has been in sparkling form this term - winning 4 out of 5 - and looks the biggest threat.
WOVOKA has enjoyed a promising first season and shaped as though he will appreciate this step up in trip throughout a string of good performances last month. He gets the nod for his in-form stable but will need to be on top form to better the improving Weekend Fever. He is sure to relish this extra furlong after breaking his duck over 6f last time out and looks fairly treated on his handicap bow. Shaydreambeliever wasn't disgraced in a similar event latest and must be respected off the same mark.
BAAN went close to defying the 6lb penalty he received for his successful debut when touched off over 1m at Nottingham latest. He should have more to offer for that experience and will be better suited to this slightly shorter trip. Zaal is sure to set the pace and, after failing to land a hat-trick last time, should go closer to hanging on in this company. Jamieson Gold struggled in a Listed event last month but is far from out of it.
Little Bob and Prelude have been running well in defeat and should feature again, while Oulan Bator looks to be firing on all cylinders again. Weet A Head, Slavonic and Dove Cottage hold claims after scoring last time, but have more to do today and the one to follow could be CHARLIE KENNET. His winning run came to and end latest but he clearly found the 1m4f trip too far, he returns to his favourite distance and is only 3lb higher than when completing a hat-trick on his penultimate outing.
SPRING BREEZE returned to winning ways in style over 2m at Catterick latest (Reminiscent 2nd) and is sure to be a popular choice again. However, an 8lb rise leaves him with no margin for error and GOLDEN BOOT could be the one to score here. A winner over 1m4f here last month, he has been doing all his best work at the finish and goes on any ground. Considine is 1lb lower than his victory at Redcar last month and returns to his favourite distance today.
