Past C&D winner Woolcombe Folly looked better than ever when striking on his seasonal reappearance at Ascot three weeks ago and he seems sure to give a good account today but, in receipt of 11lb, I'M DELILAH could have his measure. Another who has winning form at the track, this tough mare was in the process of running a massive race when crashing out at the final fence at Kelso last month and that first outing since April is entitled to have brought her on. Fiendish Flame is one of the likely pacesetters and he was impressive when making all at Bangor last time, while I'msingingtheblues and Tanks For That complete the shortlist.
Tramantano has his third attempt at winning a race run in memory of his owner's late wife and is unlikely to get a better chance given the mark he's fallen to, but Woolcombe Folly gets the nod following his reappearance win at Ascot. I'm Delilah is also of interest having looked unlucky at Kelso last month.

SAM WINNER was immediately installed as favourite for this season's Triumph Hurdle following his impressive victory at the Open Meeting here last month and he will prove a tough nut to crack if reproducing that form this afternoon. Coming home 15-lengths clear of his rivals in that Grade 2 prize, he couldn't have been any more impressive and, at only three years of age, there should be a lot more to come. The unbeaten Pantxoa is held in high regard by connections and looks most likely to chase the confident selection home, while A Media Luz is a most interesting player on her hurdling debut having won two Flat races in France.
Sam Winner leapt to the head of the Triumph Hurdle betting when destroying an above-average field here last month, and he'll take the world of beating. Pantxoa and hurdling debutante A Media Luz represent powerful yards and could follow him home.

Quinz hasn't but a foot wrong in both outings so far this season and he warrants the utmost respect in his bid to complete the hat-trick, but TIME FOR RUPERT could simply prove too classy for these rivals. Streets ahead of these over hurdles, he was mightily impressive when striking on his chasing debut over an extended 2m4f here last month and, second behind Big Buck's in last season's World Hurdle, this longer trip certainly won't cause any problems. Chicago Grey had Picture This (second) 6-lengths in behind when scoring at this venue in October and should be able to confirm placings on the same terms.
This isn't the first time a number of these have crossed paths. Chicago Grey was running another cracking race when departing here last month, but he and the rest could struggle to cope with Time For Rupert if that one makes the expected progress back up in trip. Picture This may also figure if cutting out the errors he made on his chasing bow.

Zaynar won this last year but has failed to follow up in four runs since and the fitting of first-time blinkers today doesn't necessarily inspire confidence. Celestial Halo is a top hurdler but has fallen twice recently, including over timber at Aintree, and his confidence may have been affected. It could pay to side with KARABAK, second behind Big Buck's in a Grade 1 race at Newbury this time last year. He returned from a summer break to take second in this grade at Ascot last month and has little to find to land this.
Last year's winner Zaynar could make a bold defence if the blinkers have the desired effect. That is far from certain, though, and the reliable Karabak is taken to end his frustrating sequence. Celestial Halo remains unexposed at this trip over hurdles and will prove dangerous if chasing hasn't taken the edge off him, whilst Banjaxed Girl makes each-way appeal.

Master Minded looked back in the groove with a ready success over 2m3f at Ascot last month but there is still an air of vulnerability surrounding the 2008 and 2009 Champion Chase hero at this trip. Having not won a Grade 1 since April 2009, he's possibly worth opposing at odds-on and SOMERSBY looks the one to side with. Always held in the highest regard, he powered up the Prestbury Park hill to take second in the Arkle in March and his comeback run at Exeter last month looked badly needed. He obviously has to produce a career best but it's interesting to see connections stick to the minimum trip for now and Henrietta Knight clearly knows how to handle a good one. I'm So Lucky shouldn't be overlooked but the rejuvenated Gauvain is a bigger threat.
Master Minded looked a different proposition to last season when jumping superbly on his return at Ascot last month, and he'll take some stopping if in the same form. Petit Robin's record fresh means he makes plenty of appeal for a place, which isn't beyond Kalahari King either with a run under his belt.

PSYCHO is unfortunately best remembered on these shores for an agonising defeat in the 2008 County Hurdle but he has taken to fences in a very positive manner and can set his Cheltenham record straight. Twice a winner over birch in his novice chase campaign, Tony Martin's charge looked better than ever when thrashing Osana over 2m3f at Naas last month and the likely strong gallop today will help him get into a rhythm. Little Josh was impressive when making all in the Paddy Power but a 9lb rise in the weights makes life tough and it would be no surprise to see Mad Max (4th), Poquelin (5th), Great Endeavour (6th) and Sunnyhillboy (7th) all finish closer. Paul Nicholls' novice Robinson Collonges has to be accorded respect, despite his relative inexperience, while Dave's Dream came good over 2m here on his seasonal bow and promises to relish this trip. Calgary Bay is the most appealing outsider.
Both Great Endeavour and Sunnyhillboy finished some way behind Little Josh in the Paddy Power here last month, but they are likely to do a lot better this time with that run behind them. Slight preference is for Great Endeavour, who remains a horse of potential, though Little Josh certainly can't be discounted.

Menorah, four times a winner from seven starts, was Grade 1 C&D victor in novice company at the Festival in March and impressed with his attitude when landing the Greatwood here on his return. Silviniaco Conti is unbeaten in five starts and has just completed a double in this grade. Those two wins, however, came over 2m 4f and, over this shorter trip, preference is for this year's Champion Bumper winner CUE CARD, unbeaten in four starts, two over timber. He romped home over C&D last month and looks something very special.

This race has produced some fine hurdlers over the years and some nice types contest this with Emma Lavelle's HIGHLAND VALLEY the pick. Unbeaten in two starts, the gelding was particularly impressive when cantering home at Exeter last month. Open to plenty of improvement, he looks suited by this step up in trip. The danger could be Mossley but he fell in a point-to-point first time out and although he scored easily enough over 2m 5f at Huntingdon last time, his jumping wasn't perfect. Sybarite and Golden Chieftain can also be given chances.
