Course form often stands up at this unique track and HEART OF DUBAI, a winner over an extended 2m1f here early last month, is fancied to land today's opening contest. Two placed efforts on the level since indicate that he's still in good heart and this longer trip is unlikely to cause any problems. Lava Lamp rates a big threat representing last year's winning stable, while Sara's Smile and He's A Hawker are others to consider.
Point winner He's A Hawker took a big step forward when breaking his hurdling duck at Uttoxeter last month and should relish having his stamina drawn out even further. He can prove too strong for Lava Lamp and Heart of Dubai.

Dunowen Point has been in cracking form over hurdles recently (won here in late May) and seems sure to mount a bold bid on his first run over fences today, but COOL TOUCH has the benefit of having already run in this sphere and edges the vote. He chased home to useful Black Jack Blues on his chasing debut at Worcester eight days ago and that experience should stand him in good stead now. Irish raider Yachvili looks best of the remaining trio.
Cool Touch and Dunowen Point look the pair to concentrate on here, the first-named taken to put his recent experience of chasing to good use.

COLDITZ has won and been placed in two visits here in the past and appears to have a solid chance off bottom weight today. He hasn't been disgraced in a couple of starts over timber since his 3/4-length beating by Soul Magic over C&D early last month and is 2lb better off with Harriet Graham's charge now. The last mentioned will arrive full of confidence, however, and does warrant respect, while Canal Cottage and I'm Your Man are others worthy of consideration.
Soul Magic had Colditz and I'm Your Man behind him when finally getting his act together over fences at this venue last month and is a hopeful choice to confirm the form.

Foxesbow produced a career best performance when scoring over 3m at Uttoxeter last time and he should go well off a 6lb higher mark today, but QUATTROCENTO looks the most likely winner. He stepped up on his Ffos Las win in May when runner-up at that same venue three weeks ago and he has shown in the past that he's capable of shouldering plenty of weight. Course winners Oniz Tiptoes and Shulmin could run well at long odds.
A wide-open affair in which a chance is taken on the stamina of in-form Bob Will racing beyond 3m for the first time. Quattrocento and Foxesbow also make the shortlist.

A case can be made for a number of these, but BHALTAIR gets vote to come out on top. He displayed a high level of ability in both bumper starts (won and placed) and Donald McCain is sure to have him well schooled prior to his first run over hurdles. Tower has struck the crossbar on his last couple of appearances (including here in May) and should be in the shake-up once again while four-time Flat winner Zaplamation is of interest first time in this code.
Tower and The Tiddly Tadpole have run very well over C&D recently, and the former is a narrow pick to come out on top, but a cogent case can be made for several others in a notably tight-knit affair.

Although turned over at skinny odds on his latest outing here early last month, he's now 5lb lower with Kyle James' claim taken into consideration and a return to the winner's enclosure could be on the cards. The 'getting out stakes' could go to COOL BARANCA despite Diane Sayer's mare having to shoulder top weight. She has put together a string of solid efforts recently and a repeat of her second off this mark at Perth on Sunday would make her difficult to beat. Tamarillo Grove produced his best effort yet at Newton Abbot ten days ago and should go close if reproducing that form today, while Murfreesboro was much improved here latest and appeals from the foot of the weights.
Tamarillo Grove is the obvious starting point as he's allowed to race off a 4 lb lower mark despite a much-improved effort 10 days ago, but he may have run into one here at the foot of the weights in the shape of Murfreesboro. Cool Baranca will give her running and is next best.
