HAZELRIGG looked on his way back to peak form when pushing the red-hot Judge 'n Jury all the way at York last Friday and although bumped up 4lb in the weights for that short-head defeat, he has gone close off this revised rating on a couple of times in the past. Bosun Breese defied a 6lb penalty to complete a Musselburgh/Redcar double earlier in the month and isn't overly burdened with another 4lb to contend with here, while Dancing Freddy and Bronze Beau also make the shortlist.
Dickie's Lad has fewer miles on the clock than most of these and is of interest back on a more conventional track, while the bang in-form Bosun Breese has to be taken seriously. However, that duo are 2 of several that are likely to attempt to make the running here, and it could be that the race will be teed-up nicely for Doctor Parkes to deliver a knock-out punch in the closing stages.

The three-year-olds get a very handy weight allowance and last year's Cheveley Park Stakes third ANGELS WILL FALL is hard to ignore following a pleasing reappearance third behind Markab at Windsor last month. Charlie Hills' Acclamation filly is preferred to Haydock Listed winner Excelette and My Propeller. The latter finished a couple of places behind Ladies Are Forever over 6f earlier in the month and Geoff Oldroyd's inmate could be the pick of the older brigade, although Duchess Dora and Astrophysical Jet will be no pushovers.
Ladies Are Forever didn't get the rub of the green when third in the listed contest won by Inetrobil at Nottingham last time and, granted better luck in running this time, she can come out on top. Angels Will Fall will be a live danger if settling better than she did on return at Windsor, while Duchess Dora and Excelette are no back numbers either.

STELLAR EXPRESS has really hit her stride in recent weeks, landing back-to-back races over today's trip at Nottingham earlier in the month. Michael Appleby's filly is now 11lb higher in the weights since her winning run began but she looks as tough as they come and will take all the beating again, especially if there is rain around. Impressive fast-ground Pontefract winner Basseterre is feared most under a light weight, but Ardmay and Satanic Beat are also accorded respect.
The pair to concentrate on here are Baccarat and Basseterre, both of whom are open to further improvement. Preference is for the latter who has probably got off lightly with a 5 lb rise for Haydock. Ardmay looks best of the rest.

A drop back in trip looks sure to suit here and he won't mind which way the ground goes. Reem Star has an admirably consistent profile and seems sure to mount another bold bid back on turf following her encouraging comeback run at Wolverhampton, while Amazing King and Gordonsville also make some appeal.
Blues Destination has to be taken seriously following his recent victory at Musselburgh, but it could be worth siding with The Bells O Peover, who showed himself back in form last time and is on a good mark now. Cape Rising is unexposed and also capable of getting involved if she stays the trip.

LUCKY BEGGAR improved markedly on his debut second to Baileys Jubilee when beaten just a short-head by Rebel Magic at Bath last month and a race of this nature should come her way before too long. The obvious threat today is clearly Star Of Rohm, who bounced back from an odds-on defeat over 5f at Ripon to chase home Rayaheen over this trip at Nottingham just nine days ago. Sennockian Star and Bonnie Lesley are others of note, but they may be playing for places.
Unless one of the newcomers turns out to be above average this should be fought out between Lucky Beggar and Star of Rohm, with marginal preference for the latter.

Takealookatmenow burnt her rivals off at Ripon and won't be easy to peg back if in the same mood here. However, Dubai Sunshine ran a fine race in a fairly competitive contest last time and a reproduction of that effort will probably suffice here. The consistent Show Flower is also accorded respect.

SANTEFISIO bumped into a well-handicapped rival in Ginger Jack (narrowly held off higher mark since) over 7f here last month and he looks the one to beat off the same perch today. Oneofapear handles any ground and scored on soft over this trip at Newcastle last time, while it's hard to rule out St Ignatius, who seeks a four-timer and has only been raised 3lb for his most recent Haydock triumph. The Lock Master has held his form admirably and is another must for the shortlist.
Several of these arrive here in good form, but it's worth taking a chance on Cool Macavity, who caught the eye in a more competitive race than this at Sandown last time, leaving the impression that he will be suited by the return to this trip. Red Inca and The Lock Master are feared most, while Full Toss is also on the shortlist.
