Richard Fahey has won the last two runnings of this race and appears to have another strong chance with NEW SPRINGS today. The offspring of Acclamation showed plenty of encouraging signs when third on her racecourse debut over this trip at Ripon last month and is entitled to know a lot more about the game now. Joe Le Taxi makes his racecourse debut for top connections and could be the one to put it up to the selection, while So Is She looks to be playing for places once again.
Richard Fahey has won this race for the past 2 seasons and looks to have another strong contender in the shape of New Springs. So Is She has the form to be a danger, but her attitude is under question now and it's possible newcomer Joe Le Taxi will emerge as a bigger threat.

It could pay to side with MANGO MUSIC in what looks a tricky puzzle for punters to solve. She produced her best effort of the year so far when runner-up over 6f at Newcastle last time and has won off a 13lb higher mark than this in the past. Monte Mayor One returns to the scene of her latest victory and should get involved at the business end of the race, while Bravely and Sandwith are both forced into carrying penalties for recent wins but cannot be ruled out with any confidence.
Mango Music looked an interesting recruit to the Fahey yard when runner-up at Newcastle last time and she can improve on that to win here. Musselburgh scorer Sandwith makes plenty of appeal despite a penalty, whilst Dispol Kylie may do best of those drawn in single figures.

A fascinating contest despite only the five runners. Goldenveil couldn't have been much more impressive when striking over an extended 7f here last time and seems sure to mount a bold bid, but SILVERTREES looks like the one that they all have to beat. Alan Swinbank's exciting gelding stepped up on a winning debut performance when runner-up in the Group 3 Acomb Stakes over 7f at York last time and this extra furlong should bring out further improvement. Cafe Elektric looks the pick of the remaining trio.
A cracking contest despite the small field. Silvertrees represents connections who won this race in 2008 and he was a fine second in the Group 3 Acomb Stakes last time but, at the likely odds, a chance is taken instead on Cafe Elektric to confirm that his impressive debut win was no fluke.

This prize can go to the progressive BARREN BROOK. Mick Easterby's charge has done nothing but improve in four starts so far this year and showed likeable battling qualities when landing the spoils over 6f at Redcar last time. This step up in trip shouldn't cause any problems and a further 3lb rise in the handicap may not be enough to stop him from going in again. Arabian Spirit won comfortably over C&D latest and is unlikely to go down without a fight, while Wigwam Willie won this race in both 2006 and 2007 and is really well treated at present.
Arabian Spirit had dropped in the weights before winning a C&D handicap last month and still looks capable of winning from 6 lb higher. He has plenty of competition, with Keys Of Cyprus and Sir Frank Wappat put forward as his main dangers.
