Craiganboy merits a place on the shortlist based on his second-placed finishes here earlier in the year but he does look to be vulnerable to some unexposed types. RED SQUARE REVIVAL was an impressive winner on his racecourse debut when taking a bumper by six lengths at Worcester in September. Being a son of Presenting the five-year-old should improve for this extra trip and he could have a bright future ahead of him. Similar comments also apply to Robintheaulad and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection.

RED SQUARE REVIVAL looked potentially useful when staying on strongly to win a Worcester bumper in September and can make a winning start over hurdles for the David Pipe team. Sammy B shaped nicely when runner-up at Kelso recently and will be suited by the step back up in trip, while Starplex has clearly had a few issues but has looked talented when he has made it to the track.

BALLYBEN was impressive when striking at Carlisle last month and with Malcolm Jefferson's team firing on all cylinders, the son of Beneficial could strike despite a 9lb rise. The eight-year-old has won at this venue in the past and won't mind this slight drop in trip. Viva Steve represents a yard that do well in their trips to this side of the border and a first-time tongue-tie could make a difference, while Bernardelli is also noted.
