Verdict

VENUS BAY finished well clear of third when a close second over this C&D earlier this month and she looks the safest bet in an open contest. The hat-trick seeking Hold That Echo is an obvious threat this represents a step up in class, while fellow last-time-out winner Playing For Fun is another to consider.

Verdict

ARMED CONFLICT made a debut full of promise when a fast-finishing third over this C&D and he can put that experience to good use this evening. Subtle Authority also showed ability first time out and can fight it out with Oenomaus for the silver medal.

Verdict

Mattangel has been knocking on the door and should be in the shake-up again, but he has had plenty of chances now and it could pay to take him on with KILLIN ME SMALLS. The selection improved on his debut effort when fourth over 5f here latest and there should be more to come as he steps up in trip tonight.
