The form on offer is not great but Tayche was second over 6f here on his penultimate run and a reproduction of that effort would see him thereabouts. Some interesting newcomers though including SHAFTED who has been shaping well in his recent workouts and might be capable of making a winning debut. Quiet Approval is another debutant worth keeping an eye on.
AFRICAN KING improved on his debut effort with a decent second at Presque Isle Downs last time and he can put his experience to good use here to record his first success. Red Wine made a promising debut and is likely to come on a good deal. Night Chapel can also be expected to improve for his debut experience.
Coupled pair Zetetic and Wherethewestbegins are respected and should go close but MICHAEL'S BAD BOY was an unlucky loser when third over 7f here last month and with the slightly shorter trip in his favour he can gain compensation. Raw Power would have solid claims on his best form but needs to put a few disappointing efforts behind him.
TRIPTORIO lost out by the narrowest margin over 7f here earlier this month and, although he has not won in ten outings, a reproduction of that effort would see him home in front here. Broken Engagement put in his best effort yet when second here last time and can get involved. Typhoon Tempest could be next best.
Blue Beat showed improved form to finish a close third over C&D last time and should go well but the verdict goes to NICE LADY who has shown flashes of ability in a higher grade and can take full advantage of this drop in class. Souris Hardi is another to have shown enough ability to suggest she can win races and she is worth noting.
A competitive little affair with all seven runners having already won a race. CASSIDY'S PRIDE showed a good attitude to score on her debut and is the tentative selection. Mountain Echo has the proven form in this grade in the book and is capable of running a big race but the biggest danger could be Caoutchouc who was a cosy winner over C&D last time.
Spunky recorded her maiden success over 6f here last month - and is respected - but not as impressively as BRILLIANT MOON who swept past her opposition in the style of a decent prospect and can follow up in this contest. There are a few with place claims so it might be worth taking a chance on Spanish Native bouncing back to form to add value to combination bets.
Shananie's Honour can usually be relied upon to run her race at this level and is entitled to go close but Fusaichi Pegasus filly MISS OLIE has enough form to win here if putting her best foot forward and she is the selection. Lady Tiffany won well over 7f here last month and she would be a danger if reproducing that effort.
LEGAL LOVE made a debut brimful of promise, finishing second over this C&D on the first of the month, and with that experience under her belt she can go one better this time. Twilight Affair should be involved once more but she lacks the scope for improvement of the selection. Ginori is the most interesting of the debutants.
