Of more interest are COOL STEEL, who rattled the crossbar off 4lb lower on his handicap debut at Southwell last month and Water Garden, who was outpaced over 2m1f at Exeter off this mark latest and could relish this longer trip.
This stiffer test shouldn't pose any problems for Water Garden and he is confidently expected to go one better following his improved display in cheekpieces last month. Cool Steel looks by far his most dangerous rival with Bobbie Magern taken to fare best of the remainder.

Upham Atom is 5lb higher than when scoring over C&D in April but is having his first run of the season and is entitled to strip fitter for the run.
An open affair in which Magot de Grugy appeals most, his Fontwell win boosted subsequently by those behind. Upham Atom is feared on his seasonal return, while Just The Job comes here on a high and is another to consider.

Nicky Henderson's charge didn't seem suited to the track when turning in a laboured effort at Stratford last time but is only 4lb higher than when scoring at Hereford in June and remains capable of better. Improving novices Dineur and Tony Star are others capable of making their presence felt.
Dineur makes his handicap debut off a realistic mark and may still have more to come over hurdles. Tarkari will appreciate this slightly easier company and is respected, while Arab League is going the right way over hurdles and has place prospects once more.

However, preference is for MENTALIST, who ran too badly to be true on his hurdles introduction at Sandown latest but could benefit from the experience gained that day. Band of Thunder was well-held in a Plumpton claimer latest but has place prospects.
Mentalist is expected to leave his hurdling debut behind him, and looks the safest option. Stagecoach Danman could be the type to take to hurdles and may prove the main danger.
