BANNTOWN GIRL carries a winners' penalty but has good hurdle experience. Consistently useful, she was third in a hot mares' handicap at the Dublin Racing Festival and a reproduction would see her involved at the business end. Hauturiere, runner-up in her only French bumper start, was well held by the winner on Irish debut at Tramore but showed more at Fairyhouse. She drops back in trip but receives weight from the selection which gives her a chance. Rioga Choice, whose dam is a half-sister to Special Tiara, ran a nice race when well held behind high-class Kilcruit in January and is open to plenty progression. Kilbarry Choice was beaten just 2.75L by the selection last October and while she is now 8lb better off, makes her jumps debut. Outback Flyer has some place claims while What An Ocean failed to win a point-to-point and is possibly best watched.

MOUNT BROWN drops markedly in class having run well in a much better maiden at Fairyhouse in January. He ran well enough in a hot bumper on debut in November and showed ability again in January, and while well beaten, the form received notable boosts subsequently and today's race is far weaker. Dual point-to-point winner The Blind Piper has clearly had training issues and while he ran well at Fairyhouse in mid-January, disappointed in a similar unplaced maiden at that venue a fortnight later. Gringo D'ainay might be capable of progression having shown a little ability at Tramore while Gordon Elliott's Laffite has yet to show worthwhile form and makes his jumps debut.

THE NIFFLER was nicely supported when winning on handicap debut and being still somewhat unexposed, can defy an 8lb hike. He drops in trip but could be as effective over this distance, and being a five year old, can continue to progress. Uknowcarty's best form has been over longer distances on his last three runs and has obvious claims dropping in trip, having run well from 2lb lower when third at Navan. Donnrua Dream is another useful middle-distance handicapper but has form at this trip, having run well on career debut behind Shantreusse in a Clonmel bumper last April. Saga Aravis and Go Gill Go are both useful but might bump into a few better handicapped horses. Didn'tsleepawink is by Flemensfirth and is out of a Sadler's Wells-sired mare and while well beaten since a promising career debut, is interesting reverting to hurdles today.

An easy winner of an ordinary maiden at Thurles in November, his Down Royal rated race run was encouraging with the third-placed horse winning subsequently. Goulane Chosen is an admirable 13 year old who earned E175,000 in prizemoney and has claims having run well in two recent bigger-field handicaps. He was beaten four lengths last weekend and today's rider claims 3lb. Arctic Warrior looked a fine prospect winning at Sligo last August but has been blighted by jumping errors. He looks better than his 128 rating but isn't nearly as reliable as good old Goulane Chosen. Gjoumi is similarly enigmatic and is far too keen but contests her first handicap. Ferdia was well held in a recent Graded race but notably ran well at Leopardstown over Christmas. Blanketontheground is long absent.

EGALITY MANS ran well when fourth at Fairyhouse, having fallen on his previous runs. He galloped his three rivals to a halt when winning his point-to-point in 2018 and while lightly-raced, has shown smart form. He was in contention when falling at Punchestown in December and having bounced back at Fairyhouse, can now progress some more. Staying type Siberian Prince showed promise when third at Gowran last month. His form ties in closely with the selection's on a line through Grand Paradis (which beat both horses recently) but has yet to prove himself as capable as EGALITY MANS. Column Of Fire was once capable but fell at Cheltenham in March 2020 and has yet to reproduce his old sparkle. His chase runs have been disappointing but he returns following a mini-break. Itsnotinit is a useful staying hurdler but has a tough enough task on fences debut while Whirling Dervish was pulled up on his latest hurdle efforts and exited at the first fence at Gowran.

NELLY'S MONEY won her point-to-point in 2018 and has competed well over fences in recent times. Proven on testing ground and at this distance, she comes here fit and well in a winneable race. Duchess Ravenwaves, a three-time flat winner, is ideally suited by testing ground and is also fit and well. She has run well on two recent chase outings and should give the selection a race. Manitopark wasn't a natural jumper of hurdles but was reasonably capable. Being a keen-goer, she has a tough enough task on chase debut running in a first-time tongue-tie and on reappearance. Our Miss Power makes her chase debut but has plenty jumping experience, having made her point-to-point debut in 2019 and has place claims. Moon Eagle is best watched on chase debut.

The Cheltenham boat has sailed for DANCING CITY but might win this. He won on point-to-point debut for Cormac Farrell at Borris House and while the form is worryingly ordinary, he scored easily, is proven on testing ground and debuts for a top team. Alpesh Amin is a danger and while pulled up on debut, was second to a smart type at 150/1 at Limerick last month. He holds Memories Never Die (finished third) by 18 lengths on that form. Three Card Brag is a sibling to three racecourse and four point-to-point winners and should run well for leading connections while Brompton Park showed ability at Ayr but needs to improve further. En Avant contested a hot Naas hurdle last month and it is encouraging connections have reverted to a bumper.
