The quality of this race seldom disappoints and this is another example, with a trio in contention for the prestigious title. After finishing second in the Prix d'Amarique, AMPIA MEDE SM (8) went on to win a pair of Gr.1 races, including the Prix de France over the distance, before securing a Gr.2 on her comeback a fortnight ago. She is drawn somewhat wide but still starts alongside Elitlopp winner, HOHNECK (7), who posted 1:08.9 at Solvalla. Winner of his last four (when not sanctioned), IDAO DE TILLARD (9) most recently put on quite the display in the Gr.2 Prix Jean le Gonidec, and even though starting widest on the outside, is nevertheless in with a realistic shout. HOKKAIDO JIEL (5) may not be made of the same stuff but he is clearly in form and can take advantage of his good spot behind the car.

This tremendous meeting terminates with one of the more open affairs of the day. Gr.2 winner during the spring, IT'S A DOLLARMAKER (10) occasionally loses his action but is very hard to fault and, if applied, should have the measure of the barefoot HE AND ME (14) who has been knocking at the door lately. Excellent when unshod, INVINCIBLE CASH (8) recently set his personal best time and drops back in category with legitimate ambition. SAHARA JAEBURN (12) sprang quite the surprise on her comeback last month and with form maintained will be no pushover.
