Verdict

Kim Bailey has EVEN FLO in the form of her life, running really well in all of her last three starts, notably when winning at Worcester, after which she was only just beaten at today's venue over a slightly longer trip. The mare may have most to fear from Always Baileys, twice successful over hurdles and now beginning to get the hang of the bigger obstacles judged by his recent Worcester third. Catch The Wing has shown very little to date, nonetheless he hails from the powerful Jonjo O'Neill yard and this switch to fences, plus handicap company, may yet bring about dramatic improvement.

Verdict

Barring mishaps ADVANCEMENT should complete his hat-trick after twice scoring at Newton Abbot, latterly by a wide margin in handicap company. Jumping newcomer Strong Survivor could get involved since he showed some promise on the Flat. Both of Thistle's hurdling victories came in weak affairs and he is 20lb inferior to Advancement on official BHA ratings. He at least knows where the winning post is and might be worth an each-way saver along with Petrovka, who did enough when placed at Cheltenham in January to suggest she could take a hand.

Verdict

This race could fall to jumping newcomer MISS SOLO, who can cash in on her handy mare's allowance having shown a modicum of promise on the Flat. Just Mossie stayed 1m1f on polytrack, but has a long absence to overcome and more of a threat could emerge from Opening Hand, fit following four spins on the level so far this year. Golddigging, recently well-beaten in a 12f Lingfield seller, needs to improve on his jumping debut, while the only one with hurdling experience, Ras Laffan, hardly sets a tough standard.

Verdict

It's difficult to get away from Sunday's runaway Market Rasen winner, WILLIAM BUTLER, who had Ground Breaker miles back in fourth spot on that occasion and should confirm the placings even though the selection must shoulder a 7lb penalty. Incorporation enters the reckoning on his May course and distance success, although the fact he's now 10lb higher in the weights doesn't make life easy for him. Albarino is another to have run well over this track and trip, occupying the runner-up spot nine days ago. He could take a hand if on a going day.

Verdict

Four-time previous hurdles scorer MICHAELS DREAM is now 17lb lower than his highest winning mark and has without question dropped back to a rating off which he's capable of once again getting his head in front. Hello It's Me won over fences at Cartmel prior to being pulled at Towcester last time. He's slightly better off at the weights on this return to hurdles and looks a major threat. Verdict

By mares' only maiden hurdle standards the race won by PRESENT at Perth wasn't bad and Matt Gingell's unexposed four-year-old must have a chance of completing her double with only a 7lb penalty to carry. An obvious threat is Don't Be Bleu, who has won two from three of late and should again go well provided underfoot conditions don't become too soft. Lucy Wadham sent out Craughwell Suas to win over 2m at this course in June. The in-form mare has since finished second over this trip at Hereford and warrants maximum respect on the evidence of those two good performances.
