Verdict

A tough start to the card. SCARS OF WAR found trouble in running last time out but is a promising filly and can make amends. MISS SCALETTA has won two of her three starts and can fight out the finish once again. FIERY PEGASUS was not disgraced in a Group 1 last time. OLIVIA'S WAY is improving and won easily last time out. TWOSTEP QUEEN showed what she is capable of with a nice win last time out but is tackling a lot tougher this time. WORLD OF ALICE may need further to be seen at her very best but is also not out of it.

Verdict

LEGEND OF ARTHUR was not disgraced on debut but has been impressive in his last two wins. He was full of running and should complete the hat-trick. MOUNT PINATUBO was caught out of his ground last time, so he will like this longer straight and should be right there at the finish. SPRING TRADITION showed vast improvement when winning last time out. SKITTLES SKIES and ZANTHAR have yet to win but are talented and can get involved with the finish.

Verdict

An interesting race and it may pay to put all of them in the Pick 6. LADY OF TIBET showed improvement last time out but the strength of that run will be tested in the opening race. PERFORM was not beaten far in open company last time out so deserves the utmost respect in this line-up. RAINBOW RIVER has been running well without winning and deserves a winning turn. Verdict

Another race where it might pay to go wide in the Pick 6. WILLIAM IRON ARM has been a disappointment of late but he is quite capable of winning this race. EYE OF THE PROPHET has not shown his best for some time but is not out of it. MERCANTOUR was not disgraced last time out and has to be considered. GIMME A SHOT is always a threat. Verdict

HOTARUBI is a reserve runner for this year's Hollywoodbets Durban July due to have run on Saturday but if appearing in this race instead does look the one to be with. HOTARUBI has not won in some time and fell victim to a huge penalty for his good run in the Gauteng Guineas in February. PRESLEY was not disgraced when third last time out and can do better this time. JORDAN disappointed last time out but will do better over this track and trip. MASTERSHIP is improving but tackles his strongest field yet. DONNA MO was not disgraced last time out and is weighted to run well.
