DUKE ARCADIO was only narrowly denied on his chasing debut ay Doncaster last month and, considering that was his seasonal debut, improvement can be expected. The seven-year-old won his sole start in points and a 3lb rise in the ratings for his latest effort would appear to be fair enough. Battle Dust showed a decent level of form early on last season prior to a couple of moderate efforts later in the campaign and this may be the time to catch him. Drumviredy is bred to be a chaser and he won first time out last season, while Goohar also makes the shortlist.

THOMAS SHELBY was only narrowly beaten in a similar event here three weeks ago and he can fight his way to victory in a race with a lot of deadwood in it. Clondaw Bisto may have bumped into a decent sort at Fontwell on his hurdling debut and can give the selection the most to think about. Another Venture also has the form to go well, while any market support for Imperial Bay would have to be noted.

BLACK TULIP comes from a decent family and is related to the connections' Young Spartacus, a Cheltenham Festival winner in 2003, and the four-year-old is a half-sister to the talented Meet The Legend, who was a bumper winner last year at Kelso. Biscuit was runner-up on her debut behind Scorpio Queen and is open to further improvement on just her second outing, while Molly Childers only found Ravenhill Road too good for her at Doncaster and should prove competitive here.
