This looks a clear match on paper between L'Ami Serge and LE PREZIEN who both possess a fair level of form over fences. The former was placed in the JLT Novices Chase at the Cheltenham Festival behind Black Hercules and should benefit from the drop back down in distance. The main issue is his tendency to jump out to his left which could cost him vital ground unless connections have managed to iron out the issue so preference goes to the latter, whose jumping improved as the round went on at Cheltenham when winning a Grade 2 and will appreciate the step up in distance here. Oscar Sunset should jump round in his own time for third place prize money.
