Dual representation for both the Willie Mullins and John 'Shark' Hanlon yards here. Mullins stable jockey Paul Townend recently returned from injury, and it's been a very fruitful comeback for the champion rider with a host of successes for his boss. STRATUM is another strong mount for the Cork native, and the classy Dansili gelding can make his second start over fences a winning one. The course winner is up in trip after a satisfactory beginning at this game last month. A third placing at this venue behind West Cork Wildway and The Bosses Oscar ought to leave Stratum poised to go a couple of places better. Mormon, with his 125-rating, can play some sort of role, whilst the selection's stable companion Cavallino has to bounce back after a fall. If doing so, prospects of a place in the frame await.
Useful-hurdler STRATUM isn't an obvious chaser given his size and Flat history, but he made a pleasing enough start over fences when third here last month and this looks a good opportunity for him. Sean Hogan and Mormon can battle for minor honours.

Keenly contested, probably by the local trainers in particular, the long-standing Molony Cup has attracted another big field. Denis Hogan gives a second start to recent recruit Veneziano Springs and the French-bred may not be completely without hope as he returns to competition over the larger obstacles. Perhaps a safer option amongst County Tipperary-handled runners is Willie Austin's BEATING THE ODDS. The course winner of a handicap hurdle back in March, Shane Fitzgerald's mount arrives with decent recent credentials on the back of a Punchestown third. Stealthy Tom will be on all shortlists, and with Walking The Walk and Robindevidastar in the mix, some will look towards Philip Rothwell for an each-way option.

He's been there and done that three times when it comes to winning at Thurles, so the veteran All The Chimneys needs respecting again despite his top-weight impost. A former stable companion to All The Chimneys at the Willie Austin yard, The Chapel Field, a dual course winner himself, is another for the shortlist. One of the youngest in the field, though, RICKY LANGFORD may have more scope for progression and he arrives here in good order. The selection does have to reverse form from last month with All The Chimneys but with a swing at the weights, that's entirely possible.
Tough to rule any of these out but RICKY LANGFORD's consistency is hard to knock so Philip Rothwell's charge gets the vote to score back over the larger obstacles having mixed hurdling and chasing to good effect this year. The Chapel Field could step forward from his reappearance effort over timber so he may provide the main danger, ahead of Western Sea.

LUNAR DISPLAY's experience is taken to triumph over Braganza's potential. Joseph O'Brien's Getaway mare earned her mark of 127 with two victories over flights and placed runs in Listed and Grade 3 races. Drying ground will suit her well. Nathaniel mare Braganza was a wide-margin winner of a mares' maiden hurdle in at this track last month. That run is likely to have done her a power of good and her chance is very much respected. This is a step up in class for Family Business, but she couldn't have been any more impressive than when winning her maiden by 15 lengths off the front here. The Getaway Star has the rating (125) to be a factor but wasn't at her best at Punchestown earlier in the month.
BRAGANZA created a good impression when making a successful start in this sphere at this venue last month, and looks sure to win more races for her top stable, so she's fancied to take this step up in grade in her stride. Lunar Display sets the standard and is feared most ahead of The Getaway Star, who is the type to bounce back quickly from a below-par effort at Punchestown.

INSTANT RETURN could be worth chancing off a lengthy injury absence. He was in great form in the early part of 2020 when victorious in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown and a handicap hurdle at Naas, before taking the runner-up berth at Navan in March that year. He has been on the sidelines since but Jessica Harrington spoke favourably about him in a stable tour, and that he can be competitive this season. Mighty Tom hasn't been out since May but contested valuable handicap hurdles on his last couple of starts, when fifth at Fairyhouse and third in Killarney. Paddy O'Hanlon's 7lb claim is deployed on Palace Rock, who was last seen falling in the Lartigue at Listowel. He has the ability to get involved. Ferdia and Mind Your Money are others with claims.

NELL'S WELL can supplement her Grade 3 success in Cork. She stormed home by eight lengths when stepped up to 3m and although that was on soft going, she enjoys better ground as she showed when shedding her maiden tag at Tramore in October. Jockey Mark McDonagh's record on her is 1221. Mr Fred Rogers is dangerous up in trip, having got off the mark over an extended 2m5f in Punchestown. He was beaten a fair way into third at Navan, but that was a Grade 2 contest and he kept on at the end of 2m4f so could enjoy this extra distance. Mythical Hero is markedly up in trip after winning by a neck over 2m in Cork. There should be more to come from him.
MY FRED ROGERS was far from disgraced in a Grade 2 event at Navan 15 days ago, and with the step up in trip promising to unlock a bigger performance, he looks the way to go. Nell's Well and Coastal World rate the chief threats.

BURN THE EVIDENCE had the two market leaders in front of her when third at Fairyhouse and can improve upon that. She was nicely clear of the remainder and, crucially, that run came on good ground. Jockey Harry Swan is proving good value for his 7lb claim. Dorans Weir made an encouraging debut over hurdles when fifth of 17 at this track, so has to be of interest reverting to a bumper. Reine Machine has been placed in both of her bumpers and Derek O'Connor has been booked, so she is a major player. Burn The Evidence's stablemate Cool Croi was only 7/1 ahead of her unplaced debut in Limerick and is a potential improver on better ground.
BURN THE EVIDENCE was much improved from her debut when third at Fairyhouse in November and probably won't need to improve much to get off the mark at the third attempt. On form, Reine Machine is the clear danger, although the selection's stablemate Cool Croi should have learned from her uninspiring debut, so she's not a forlorn hope.

Walk In The Park filly EABHA GRACE can score on debut for Willie Mullins and Jody Townend. Champion trainer Mullins is of course a force in bumpers and particularly so when teaming up with Townend. This four-year-old is sure to know her job. Churchtown Ruby ran some race for a 50/1 shot when runner-up over hurdles in Limerick last month. She travelled notably well in that contest so, if as effective on this drier ground, has to come under consideration. Gordon Elliott's Scarlet Witch can build upon a third place in Wexford. Stuart Crawford sends Sunshine Girl on the long trip down from the north for her debut. She is worth monitoring for market strength. Newcomer Kilbarry Merlot is related to several winners and also should be checked in the market.
Those with form don't set the bar all that high, so EABHA GRACE, who is out of a bumper winner and represents a top stable, is fancied to make a winning start. Churchtown Ruby outran big odds on her hurdling debut last month, so she's of interest back in this sphere, while Scarlet Watch should get involved if she can take another step forward.
