COCONUT BEACH won a seller at Uttoxeter over 2m earlier in the month and if anything this looks even weaker, so he has obvious claims of following up. Coronado's Gold ran reasonably well on the Flat earlier this month and won a selling hurdle in the summer, form which makes him the main danger. Cordage has disappointed since making an encouraging start to his hurdles career when winning a seller at Towcester in May, but he is worthy of consideration at this level.

Barry Geraghty could presumably have gone to Aintree to ride Nicky Henderson's runners there, but he is on THE POLOMOCHE who won a bumper and a novices' hurdle last season. Nordwind was a reasonable performer on the Flat but he was a little disappointing on his hurdling bow at Leicester last year and, after a lengthy absence, it could pay to side with RIGHT STUFF. Gary Moore's charge was also useful on the Flat and only went down by 1 1/2 lengths to previous winner Shore Thing at Towcester on his hurdles debut. Micheal Flips is an interesting recruit from the point-to-point sphere who is worth checking in the market.
