SAPHIR DES BOIS shrugged off a 600-day layoff to make a winning start in the hunter chase sphere at Leicester in March and although he has since unseated rider in a point-to-point, he's hard to oppose here. Adrenalin Flight has twice let down favourite-backers since switching to handicap chases but he's capable of picking up a race of this nature before long. Fontwell hunter chase winner Bay To Go is clearly in good shape but LOST LEGEND could be the one they all have to beat. He showed only glimmers of promise over hurdles but the former pointer improved markedly to win on his debut over regulation fences at Worcester in April and the manner in which he jumped and powered clear at the line suggests an initial mark of 120 may prove manageable.

HARBOUR COURT has shown serious potential on the point-to-point circuit, winning four of his five starts, and delivered on that promise in no uncertain terms with a 13-length demolition job on his hunter chase debut at Cheltenham last month. The fourth and fifth have franked the form with subsequent victories and Alan Hill's seven-year-old could be hard to beat. Hawkeye Native's Irish point form was far from inspiring but he's looked a different animal since joining Matthew Barber, winning at Chepstow and Fontwell, and is expected to relish this test of stamina. Rumbavu shouldn't be ignored in first-time blinkers.

A brilliant field has assembled for the 55th renewal of this famous feature and MOSSEY JOE is preferred ahead of his Irish compatriots Salsify and Tammys Hill. The selection looked a very special talent in his early days, only to lose his way somewhat after falling in the Grade 1 3m novice chase won by Sir Des Champs at the 2012 Punchestown Festival. However, the 10-year-old has really rediscovered his mojo under the tutelage of Declan McNamara, winning his three completed starts in this sphere, and good ground has always been considered his preferred surface. SPECIAL BORU made an encouraging start for his new yard when third at Wincanton last month and that first outing since October is expected to have done him plenty of good. The drop in distance is also expected to suit given he raced quite keenly before weakening in the closing stages. Crazy Bold is creeping down to an attractive handicap mark and could reward each-way support, while the returning Sonofagun is one to keep a close eye on in the betting market and strong support could be worth heeding.
