Verdict

ZACATOO brings fair Highveld form and looks ready to win. If he takes to the track and trip he can open his account. SENOR RESFRIO needed his local debut run. He wasn't disgraced in a feature race and should make solid improvement. BLACK FROST disappointed slightly last time but showed potential on debut and must be respected. TREATY OF PARIS finished well behind LIKE FIRE when making his debut. He jumped slowly and could go a lot better this time. LIKE FIRE shows good pace and won't be far off either.

Verdict

Top rated ROYAL VICTORY found his last race too short and can make amends this time. He is prepping for a Highveld Grade 1 but should nevertheless be too good. SELUKWE wasn't far behind in his first try against a horse like ROYAL VICTORY. He could be more of a threat over this trip especially if the pace is on. SILENT WAR ran a cracker in a Listed feature last time. He should be right there if seeing it out. POSITIVE ATTITUDE is as game as they come and could have a big say from the front. MISS PLATINA is a lot better than her last performance.

Verdict

MASTER DU ROUVRAY has ability. He looks to have needed time and may show his true potential over the longer distance. KWAGGA BLITZ has not been beaten far by some decent individuals including Rondebosch, Vibe SA and Winds Of Change. That kind of form could be too strong for the locals. OWNER OF CREATION caught the eye in his last start. It was against a weak field but he is improving and has drawn well. Watch out for FIRE TIGER who has had two learning experiences. He should much prefer the extra distance if not more. ZYAKALA is another that should be right there.

Verdict

OUR LADY FATE is rounding into best form. She looks to be maturing and from a handy gate should have every chance. TAKATALVI caught the eye with a good finish last time and the form has been proven as well. But she has a wide draw to overcome. ZENA ROSE disappointed last time. She is the type who needs things to go her way at the moment. Highveld raider LIKE A PRAYER shows good pace back home and if having no issues on her trip down could be the one to catch. Rested I SALUTE YOU looks a progressive youngster in the making. Interestingly, he has only won in the wet but he has nevertheless done little wrong and could pass this next test. TYRCONNELL finished behind the former the last time they met but has done little wrong since winning two in a row over the distance. He looks a big threat at the weights. BOWIE ran a fair race after a rest and is set to make good improvement. He could take advantage jumping from stall No 1. IMPOSING got going too late last time. Verdict

Nothing really stands out and it could be a race in which to go wide. IDEAL GIFT is versatile and capable of a decent finish. She has drawn well and should be right there. ATTABOY caught the eye after a rest. He has matured and gives the impression 1600m could be up his alley. FIREBURST is a lot better than her recent form. She should have a less arduous task in this heat especially from draw No 1. CONNOISSEUR has drawn widest but has the gate speed to overcome it and go on to challenge for the win. BASIE RAAKVAAT, BEACH PALACE and PONGOLA all can show up well in this.

Verdict

HODGEPODGE can go one better after finishing runner-up in her last two starts. She races for a stable in good form. COLORADO CREEK caught the eye in her last start. She won a nice race prior and could now be looking for the longer distance. RADU is holding form and wasn't far behind HODGEPODGE last time. She could get a lot closer at the weights. TOMYRIS was only just beaten by a horse that impressed again and she too could frank the form. But she has drawn a bit wide. PETIT VERDOT needed her last run. She is capable of a decent performance and must be respected.

Highveld raider PRIZED PLATINUM has been taking his time to come back to form. His last two efforts were encouraging and he could make a successful local debut. COTTON RON was switched off in his last race and he impressed with a solid finish to win. He can follow up if the race is run to suit again.
