A top-class renewal of this Group 1 and a case can be made for all of the participants, but preference is for MISHRIFF. The five-year-old was a hugely impressive winner of the Juddmonte International last August and he will be hard to beat if reproducing that level of form today. His two subsequent defeats can be forgiven as he did not have his ideal conditions on either occasion and he may well be underestimated as a result. Native Trail is very interesting now stepped up in trip, having put in an underwhelming effort when scoring in the Irish 2,000 Guineas last time. The son of Oasis Dream should relish this extra couple of furlongs and he is an obvious threat. Vadeni was an easy winner of the Prix du Jockey Club a month ago, but that was a significant career-best effort and he faces a much tougher task today. Bay Bridge was a beaten favourite in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes last time but he was only beaten a length on his Group 1 debut that day and he is another with strong form claims.
