Najoum was second over 7f on the polytrack on her debut at Kempton and, if she handles the switch to the turf, must be given a chance here. Pandoro De Lago, representing the in-form partnership of Richard Fahey and Paul Hanagan, has claims on her debut fourth at Doncaster but this could go the way of a Mick Channon runner. Bonita Star impressed on her debut at Goodwood but preference is for her stablemate, GALLOPING QUEEN, who finished a decent fourth in a Listed race at the Curragh and third in a decent race at Newbury last time.
Najoum was unfortunate to bump into a potentially smart newcomer at Kempton and can make amends here, probably at the chief expense of the Channon pair, Galloping Queen and Bonita Star.

Since being dropped to this grade in April TIMOCRACY has proved unbeatable. He's won six sellers on the trot, seems equally at home on turf and the all-weather and should take all the beating here. Guga has looked a little out of sorts lately but landed a Yarmouth handicap and a C&D claimer earlier in the summer and has claims on that form, while Castlebury went close in a similar contest at Catterick in June and could make a bold showing here.
Timocracy has been invincible at this level all year and is expected to rack up a seventh straight win at the chief expense of Guga and Castlebury.

Emeralds Spirit landed a selling handicap over 1m at Thirsk in some style but has more on her plate in this company, especially with another 5lb to carry. Military Call has been well held recently but has run well in a higher grade and must be given a chance off this handicap mark. Preference, however, is for GREEN FOR LUCK, who was held in fifth over 7f at Beverley last month but looks a better prospect at this trip following his head second at Yarmouth. Still open to improvement, he looks the one to be on.
Madame Excelerate was an eye-catcher under a kind ride at Haydock last time and, dropped 4 lb since, looks to have a good opportunity to get off the mark. Green For Luck and Emeralds Spirit rate as the main threats.

In a wide-open contest, slight preference is for BARREN BROOK, who landed a 7f Catterick maiden in some style on his second start. He only went down by a neck next time over 6f at Doncaster in this grade and, with further improvement possible, can defy a 2lb rise in the weights to go one better. The danger looks to be Fly Silca Fly, only 3lb worse off than when winning a similar contest at Newmarket in May, but C&D scorer Pepper Lane isn't out of it.
Barren Brook shaped like a horse ahead of his mark at Doncaster last time and, given how that race has worked out, he's a confident bet to go one better here. Pepper Lane and Kakapuka look the chief threats.

CONO ZUR landed a C&D seller three starts ago in excellent style. He just missed out in this grade next time and was reeled in close home back over C&D in a decent handicap last time. Back in claiming company, he could prove too good. Ra Junior wasn't far away when fourth over a mile at Beverley last time in handicap company and must be given a chance here, while Miami Gator has scored twice over 1m at this level recently but on tracks with stiff uphill finishes and this trip here might prove too sharp for him.
Cono Zur will be a tough nut to crack if reproducing the form of his 9-length defeat of King's Sabre over C&D in July. Ra Junior and Miami Gator could prove most troublesome.

BEFORE THE WAR has taken his time to settle but impressed with a running-on sixth over 1m in a Newmarket handicap last time. Back in maiden company and over a trip that looks more suitable, he looks up to breaking his duck. Hail Tiberius has been well held twice in decent handicaps but wasn't far away in second in a 1m 2f Haydock maiden previously and must be given every chance, while the penny seems to have dropped for Plus Ultra and he has claims on his two recent efforts.
No surprise that Sadler's Mark was caught flat-footed over 1m last time following his good third over 1¼m at Pontefract previously, and he looks a major player back at this more suitable trip. Hail Bold Chief and Star Addition look the pick of his rivals.

YUNGABURRA returned to form with a win in a lady amateur riders event at Thirsk over 6f last week and he might be able to defy a 4lb rise in the ratings this afternoon. Divertimenti has been raised 8lb for his Doncaster success last month but he did win with plenty in hand on that occasion and he has to be on the shortlist. Soto is not the easiest to predict but is capable of going close if putting his best foot forward.
There's a chance Divertimenti's winning margin last time flatters him, but it's worth giving him the benefit of the doubt for now. Soto would be a major threat if back on song, while Needy McCredie is less exposed than most.
