Several of these showed promise first time out and have claims here but preference is for EMBER JACK, second over 2m at Gowran Park this month on his hurdling debut. He should have benefited for the experience and looks to have less on his plate this time. Lil Ella was also second in her hurdling debut and has won on the Flat. She looks the danger but Accidental Outlaw, Summersinerrill and Alamanda have shown enough to come into the reckoning.
The early fitting of blinkers on Lil Ella is a slight worry, but she did come out on top of all those who re-oppose from Clonmel last month so looks an obvious choice. Ember Jack and Summersinerrill both bring good placed form to the table as well.

In a wide-open contest, preference is for LACARMIC, who failed by less than a length to catch Barna Gold over 2m 2f at Sligo on his hurdling debut last month. He should have come on for the run and looks suited by today's extra two furlongs. First Lieutenant scored between the flags and in a bumper at Gowran but his jumping let him down at Navan on his hurdling bow. If he can put that right, he looks a real threat here while Steel Park and White Star Line are others to be considered.
First Lieutenant remains an exciting prospect over hurdles and it will be bitterly disappointing if he can't take this maiden en-route to much better things. White Star Line and Lacarmic should prove the biggest threats.

The winner of seven of her 11 starts under Rules, including two victories at Grade level, she was third in the Grade 2 David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle at this year's Cheltenham Festival and she looks head and shoulders above these rivals. Last month's Listowel winner Elyaadi looks best of the rest but Star Wood and Alpine Glade could reward each-way support.
Voler La Vedette looks vulnerable bidding for back-to-back wins in this listed events and, at the likely prices, the progressive Elyaadi looks a solid bet. It's hard to see Colm Murphy's mare being out the 3 and she should place with Alpine Glade.

It might pay to side with GREEN TO GOLD here on his first run over hurdles for 16 months. He's shown little in four runs under Rules to date but has impressed on the Flat and if he can translate the form of his recent close second at Wexford to the jumping game, he could take all the beating. Ringfort has proved unreliable but has claims on his best form, while Le Reveur seems to have gone off the boil but would have a good chance on his form of two years ago.
Lynott looks ahead of his mark, potentially by quite a long way if able to translate his Flat form to this sphere, and provided he's none the worse for his recent mishap at the Curragh (brought down), he should go well. On The Loose looks a big threat back at 2m, whilst Ringfort seems to have plenty going for him as well.

Ard Agus Fada ended last season with a win over 2m 4f at Gowran Park but only got home by a neck and carries another 7lb now, while Duers is running well and coming down the weights but is still 12lb higher than his best winning mark. CLARKEY is 7lb higher than when scoring over 2m 1f at Listowel last month but came home with plenty in hand. He won over this trip at Limerick on his penultimate start and looks capable of completing the hat-trick.
Quite a tightly-knit handicap chase but Clarkey comes here on a roll and gets the nod as this return to 2½m could prove the catalyst for a bit more progression. Duers is another who comes here in good heart and should run well, whilst Whats Up Gordon will be thereabouts if on a 'going day'.

Dancing Bird is making progress and finished second over 2m at Tramore latest but has run four times now and might be vulnerable to a less-exposed rival. Princess Gaia was a well-held fourth on her debut at Down Royal back in May but showed enough promise to come into the reckoning here. Preference, however, is for COMBUSTIBLE LADY who showed vast improvement between her first and second run. She was nearly six lengths behind the winner over 2m at Listowel latest but similar improvement today, which could be on the cards over a more suitable trip here, should see her home.
Meitheamh has bumped into a couple of above-average types when runner-up in maiden hurdles the last twice and looks to have been found a good opening back in bumpers. Colin Bowe's Our Victoria is respected, whilst Catherinscratcher looks the best of the newcomers.

Although MUIRHEAD won a Grade 1 novice hurdle at Fairyhouse three years ago, he's failed to follow up in 12 runs since. He's campaigned at the highest level, however, and has much less on his plate here as he makes his chasing bow. He's sure to have been well schooled and should make a belated return to the winner's enclosure. Wellforth has experience over fences and looks to be improving. He may be the one for the forecast but Coolavanny Gaffer and Hans Crescent could go well first time over the bigger obstacles.
Muirhead was in a different league to these over hurdles and will surely take the world of beating granted a clear round on his chasing bow. The progressive Coolavanny Gaffer is most likely to pick up the pieces if the favourite fails to fire, with Hans Crescent little more than a token suggestion to complete the 3.
