Fly takes a big drop in class today but has been well beaten on her six starts to date and may have something to find even in this company. Sayhay Bernie was a well beaten fourth on her debut in a similar contest over five and a half furlongs here but is sure to have come on for the run and can be given a chance over this trip. She's likely to find one too good, however, in SAINT VALORIANA, a close second in this grade last time, despite trouble in running, and open to plenty of improvement after just two starts.
Secret Time and Mojave Warrior have run well recently in similar contests and should be thereabouts but preference is for STARVIN MARVIN. He wasn't too far away in third in a much tougher contest over 6f here and is likely to prove too good now dropped in class.
Cupid's Flame has been working well at home and could run a big race on her debut while One Classy Jo has run well in much tougher races and can be given every chance dropped in class today. This should go, however, to HAVE ALITTLE DREAM, who only faded late on her debut over this C&D. With that run under her belt, she should take this.
Eagle Bird has proved a consistent performer in this grade and makes more appeal than Discord, who is not without ability but is not to be trusted. However, it's worth taking a chance on NICKY BLUE EYES, who hasn't been seen out since losing his rider in a rough race over 7f here. That was more than a year ago but, if he's ready to resume, he should have too much class for these rivals.
It's hard to see beyond DOWNHILL DANCER as the answer to this puzzle. A progressive filly, she only tired late when third in this grade, over an extended mile here, on just her fourth start. Down in trip now, she should have improved enough to take this. Prancing Lioness and T C's Princess have shown some ability and can fight it out for minor honours.
Star Snuck was a very easy winner in this grade last time and shouldn't be too far away tonight but this looks to mainly concern SLEEK CONCERTO and Elva's Rose, third and fifth in a tougher race over a mile here last time. There seems no reason as to why the latter can reverse the placings and the selection, who has form in even better contests, should prove too good for these rivals.
HALF MOON THURSDAY and Mac N Mayo were first and second in a similar contest over C&D last time out. The winner has form in better races and is taken to follow up tonight. Lucndaskywitdimnds landed a slightly-weaker race here last time and looks the best of the rest.
Luvtoluvyou Baby and Razzledazzlerazcal were second and third in this grade over 6f here last time but the latter was mugged close home and might well be capable of reversing the placings over this shorter trip. However, they could be playing second fiddle to NIGHT OWL, winner of a $61k maiden special weight two starts ago and a close second in a $73.5k allowance race last time. He should prove far too good in this company.
Power By Leigh has twice been placed in better races recently, while Favalora won a valuable stakes race over an extended 6f here two starts ago. They have claims, but preference is for DIVISA, a close fourth in a $55k race last time and an easy C&D winner in this grade before that.
Enjoy The Music and Digital Delight have won tougher races in the not too distant past but are not the most reliable, so a safer bet might be NURSE BETTY, a consistent sort in this grade and a close third in a similar C&D contest this month.
