REDHOTLION has impressively notched up a hat-trick recently and he is fancied to hit the target again this evening. Beggarthyneighbor and Noifswhatsorbuts look to be his biggest dangers.
PLYMOUTH SQUARE won with any amount in hand over this track and trip last time and he could take some stopping if arriving in the same mood tonight. The Laurels and Sure Start are others worthy of consideration.
A. P.'S BUDDY did the job nicely over 5 1/2f here last time and, with this longer trip not a concern (won over an extended 1m three runs ago), he gets the vote to follow up. Sovereign Citizen, Niam's Strike and Camdens Favorite are others to consider in a competitive heat.
PLATINUM SANDY has readily notched up a double recently and it will take a good one to stop him completing the hat-trick. Trouble In Dodge and Love Talk are useful types but could be left to fight out minor honours.
OL DONYO produced by far and away her best effort yet when a nose second over this trip at Churchill last time and, open to further progress, she could take all the beating tonight. Wild One and Kiss The Daddy are also expected to go well.
IN MID HEIR was mightily impressive when scoring by 11 1/4 lengths on her racetrack debut over 4 1/2f at Charles Town last month and, entitled to have learnt plenty from that experience, she could double up. Love Train and Dreamingofcarmella also hold solid claims.
TERRIFFICO shades the verdict in what looks a wide open heat. He produced an impressive turn of foot to score over this trip at Atlantic City in late April and there is every chance he will improve for that first start since October. Rock In Bage, Yes Yes Ohyes and Hound make up the shortlist.
A competitive heat, in which SONJA'S ANGEL edges the vote. She impressively notched up a double at Gulfstream earlier this year and another big run looks assured on her return to action having had plenty of time to fresh up. Chances are also given to Starship Girl, Zaphyra and and Welcome Guest.
PASS YOU BYE BYE certainly wasn't stopping when landing his third victory of the year thus far over 6f at Monmouth last month and, with this longer trip not a problem, he could hit the target again. Travelin Man, Luckysdream and Hello Lover are other respected contenders.
Not the strongest of heats to round things off and marginal preference is for SCIACCA, who wasn't beaten too far in a stronger race at Monmouth last time. Gottcha My Dear and Lean And Lanky are others worthy of consideration.
