This should go the way of GATEWAY WEST, who just missed out in this grade over 6f at Monmouth last time. He's run well in better company in his other three starts, is open to plenty of improvement and looks far too good for these rivals. Delaware Graduate has run consistently well in similar contests but My Sled, who takes a big drop in class tonight, might prove a bigger danger.
Haitian was second in this grade last time but well beaten, while Eldoktori takes a big drop in class but has struggled in his three starts to date. They might be capable of landing a race like this but preference tonight is for O'GULCH, who has been running consistently well in better company and should prove too good dropped to this grade.
Quite an open contest in which it might pay to give MAJER B another chance, despite a disappointing effort over a mile here last time. Before that, she'd twice gone close in this grade over longer trips and can take this if at her best. Wildsummernights is not the most reliable but has some decent form in better contests and looks the danger, while Tough Gal and Atagal Annie can be given chances.
This looks the ideal opportunity for OUT KISSIN' to open his account. Never out of the first three in his four starts to date, he takes a big drop in class tonight and should have the measure of these rivals. The big danger could be Edgeofperfection, pretty consistent and also dropping in class, although Diamond Roll has gone close in this grade and can't be ruled out.
Brandons Beach has some decent form in tougher races and has claims if at his best, while Backburner failed to finish last time but has every chance on his earlier efforts. Preference, however, is for BROTHER BUD, not disgraced in a much tougher contest last time and a winner in this grade over 6f here before that.
Azulyekit has some decent form to his name but might have something to find here. El Churruca was a very easy winner of a weaker contest last time but may still be open to some improvement and has a live chance. He's likely to find one too good, however, in SACO RIVER, who has been knocking on the door in similar contests recently and could be let in today.
This should chiefly concern GO NOW and Kellers Church Rd., who have both been running well in similar or slightly tougher contests. The former, however, has the better form in the book recently and gets the vote tonight. Jackie Lad, Kid Lemonade and Midatlantic have shown ability and shouldn't be too far away.
Ready To Play looks a progressive sort but takes a big step up in class here, while Seastate wasn't disgraced in this grade last time out. This should go, however, to NOR'EASTERNER, winner of a $37k maiden special weight over a route here last time. He's run well in tougher contests than this and, now he's broken his duck, could go on to better things.
It could pay to side with SWEET SUGAR, who broke his duck at the eighth attempt with an impressive win in a $42k maiden special weight over a route here last time. This looks a sensible entry level for allowance company and he should be able to follow up. The consistent Wild Cat Mesa, dropping in class, looks the danger, but Justiceanfortitude and Morethanclever can't be ruled out.
