This should go the way of JENNIFER'S ROMEO, a fast-finishing and close third over 6f here in this grade last month. Up in trip now, she can land the spoils. Gin Cat and Celtic Heartbeat have also been knocking on the door in similar contests and can fight out the minor honours.
HOLLADAY DIXIE hasn't won for a while but has been running in much tougher contests than this. Dropped in class tonight, she should return to winning ways. Majestic Michelle was second in this grade latest and should occupy the same spot again, but Renaissance Girl drops in class and could go close.
Beacon Beach landed a four-timer in similar contests last year, beating P J's Back twice in the process, but seems to have gone off the boil recently. Fearless Cowboy won in this grade latest and has sound claims but might find one too good in Beacon Beach's barnmate, DUFFY'S TAVERN, on a four-timer now and taking a big drop in class tonight.
This should go the way of DISTINCT HONOR. Although he was well held in better company over C&D last time out, his three previous efforts suggest he will take all the beating in this grade. Pemberton and Sunshine Valentino both ran with promise first time out and can fight out the minor honours.
In a wide-open contest, slight preference is for EASY VIRTUE, only beaten a nose in this grade over a route here last time out. Passin Promises has been placed twice in this grade recently and looks the danger but La Guapa has claims on the pick of her form.
P J HOOKER scored with some ease in similar company last time and would appear to have enough speed to take this drop back to the extended 5f in her stride. Elsewhere, My Mama Gator and Margo Verge are also of interest.
RYEGRASS ROAD finished a brave runner-up when attempting to make all in a $12,500 starter allowance contest latest and, while this represents a slight step up in class, the colt is expected to go close once more. Sure Got It and Lake Forest complete the shortlist.
RAGE OF AQUARIUS bids to land the hat-trick now stepped into allowance company and, having thrived in two C&D romps at the end of last year, she is taken to give her rivals something to think about when push comes to shove. Suroof and Came Of Age rate best of the rest.
RISQUE GETAWAY displayed an impressive turn of foot when making up late ground over 7f last time out and, now switched to the extended 5f, he is expected set a good early pace in attempt to make all. Light De Night and He Has Passion are the dangers in behind the selection.
