MAPLES WAY was the most impressive of the debutants last time out when winning by a comfortable four and three quarter lengths over the extended 5f here. A repeat performance will make him tough to beat but keep an eye on Melpomene, who is likely to show further improvement, and Solid Argument.
LAW OF THE LAND appears to have put a lacklustre season as a three-year-old firmly behind him having shaped well on his seasonal bow before following up with a creditable effort in this company. Stepped back up to 6f will suit but don't rule out the chances of Arctic Raven and Believe In Love.
POMMETTE appears to have taken to her recent switch to the Stephanie Beattie yard and the three-year-old is taken to continue on an upward curve here. The consistent Sugah Sweet is likely to be thereabouts while Keystone Dancer looks best of the others.
ARROW LAKE was a convincing five and a half length winner over C&D last month and this drop in class will only enhance her chances of recording back-to-back victories. Wild Luna must not be overlooked while Diamondsforjean represents the each-way value in the race.
SOLITARY SUNSHINE took advantage of a prominent ride here over 6f when last sighted and similar tactics could prove profitable as the three-year-old bids to retain his 100 per cent record for new trainer Todd Beattie. Made In Peru has genuine claims back in this class, likewise Super Horatius.
EXTREME DREAM has yet to sparkle for new trainer Timothy Kreiser but three consistent performances at this level have suggested he is ready to win his race. Peat Bay also arrives with solid claims and is hard to discount, while Quail Hollow can boast a similar profile.
KINGS TUESDAY takes a slight step up in class but was desperately unlucky not to score when last sighted, as the filly was headed on the line. She is expected to relish this drop back to 1m but both Lovely Sonya Dor and In Wade's Honor aren't without claims.
The lightly-raced SHE'S AN ILLUSION gets the vote in this, having won in similar company last time out. The filly is open to plenty of improvement and makes most appeal but Yes Anastasia and American Appeal cannot be discounted.
