Tom Dascombe has enjoyed a good season with his juvenile team and looks set to enjoy enjoy further success with SIR TREVOR in today's opener. The Refuse To Bend colt made a debut full of promise when finishing fourth in what looked a decent course maiden and with that initial experience under his belt, he should prove hard to beat. Sholaan wasn't far away in second on his debut at Kempton and looks a real threat if handling the switch to turf, while the consistent Mcvicar cannot be ruled either.
Sholaan looked one to follow when coming home in some style at Kempton and he's taken to improve past form-pick Hyperlink.

Darnathean won nicely at Kempton this month but is up in class and yet to show the same ability on turf, while the progressive Kimbali scored on his fourth start over 6f at Hamilton but that was in a claimer and this is much tougher. It's possibly worth giving another chance to CRAVAT, who hasn't won since his debut at Beverley in May but has gone close in slightly better races than this. He looks too good for these rivals on the pick of his efforts.
Darnathean has the best claims on recent form but whether he will be as effective back at 7f on turf as he was on polytrack at 6f last time remains to be seen. If he is, then he'll take a fair bit of beating, but Kimbali has plenty more improvement in him now stepped up to 7f and he's taken to follow up from Hamilton. Cravat should also go well.

Floral Beauty was well held over 1m4f at Catterick but she should appreciate this drop in trip. Shuhra was heavily eased when beaten over 1m4f at Kempton but has claims on her close third over 1m2f at Nottingham, while Night And Dance, third over 1m at Newmarket, should appreciate this distance. Preference, however, is for KAHRABA, who overcame a slow start to finish third over this trip at Newbury and has little to find to score this afternoon.
Night And Dance sets a good standard with her Newmarket form working out well and she can prove too strong for the Godolphin runner Kahraba. Floral Beauty is proving expensive to follow and might have to settle for a minor role again.

Following a spell in the doldrums, CHILLY FILLY has been right back to her best recently and her turned in a cracking effort when only just edged out in a competitive handicap at York last month. A repeat performance should see her bang there at the finish again and it would come as no surprise to see her new trainer Brain Ellison eke out a little further improvement. Doncaster winner Kazbow might just have too much weight now but could still lead the rest home. Never Can Tell and Slight Advantage can fight out the minor placings.
Three-year-olds need siding with in all-aged long-distance handicaps at this time of year, and Slight Advantage looks to hold strong claims. Of the rest, Bowdler's Magic could go well at a big price and Kazbow is respected.

It's hard to know what brought about ONE SCOOP OR TWO'S recent improvement but, after struggling all summer off similar marks, he followed up a near-miss over 1m here with a vastly impressive 7f Haydock success. A 6lb penalty shouldn't prevent him following up if he's in the same mood today. Glenridding is chasing a hat-trick but only got home by a neck at Thirsk and may struggle with another 4lb, while the handicapper may now have Last Sovereign in his grip.
Last Sovereign and One Scoop Or Two have wide draws to overcome, which tilts the scales in the favour of Glenridding who is drawn to attack in stall 1, and is taken to complete a hat-trick.

In these contests, the pilot is often of just as much interest as the horse but the partnering of top amateur Simon Walker with the talented SIR NOD looks a winning match.
