Rolling Maul has found a resurgence in form having won his last two outings at Worcester and Perth, but now has to contend with a hefty rise in the handicap. Timeforben won over C&D last month where she appeared to relish the step up in trip along with the addition of first-time blinkers, and a 7lb rise seems fair for that effort. Clondaw Cian lost his way over fences last season, but has gone well fresh over timber in the past and is 2lb higher than his last winning mark. The vote, however, goes to VODKA ALL THE WAY, who ended last season with a win at Exeter in a novice hurdle and he looks to have the potential for further improvement in handicaps.

An intriguing contest on paper with Flying Tiger the only member of the field with chasing experience having chased home Highway One O One over C&D last month. Maria's Benefit sets the standard having won a Grade 2, against her own sex, over hurdles at Doncaster in January before setting the race up for Laurina at the Cheltenham Festival when set alight by one of the winner's stable companions, eventually finishing fourth. She appeared at her best when able to dominate, though, and won't be able to get her own way with LOUGH DERG SPIRIT in the field. Nicky Henderson's gelding has gone well fresh on both his seasonal debuts, and his point-to-point form is strong having chased home his stable companion, Claimantakinforgan, on debut before getting the better of Minella Warrior, a useful type for Kim Bailey, in May 2016.
