A massive purse for an event that looks nothing special on paper. Winged Harriet and Tiger Eye posted promising debuts at Newmarket and Yarmouth respectively, notably the former who came home in eye-catching fashion. However, MY SUPERSTAR streaked home in lesser class at Folkestone but looked a filly capable of significant improvement and she gets the vote in a trappy opener. La Adelita stayed on stoutly when just touched off at Yarmouth, whilst The Miniver Rose is another who should go well.

LIBERATION is hard to oppose after a devastatingly impressive destruction of his field at Ascot last weekend. The Refuse To Bend colt looked tremendously promising but will have to be at his best to handle Sri Putra, a battling winner of the Group 3 Solario Stakes. Nasri is another not to be underestimated in a hot contest, having shown useful and progressive form to date. Cry of Freedom was disappointing in the Solario but had strong form previously whilst Weald Park and Irish challenger, Dark Humour are others to note.

Not too many of these are in the best of form and it may be worth concentrating on the lower end of the handicap. KING SUPEREME has been a model of consistency for the Hannon machine this season and continued an upward curve by running the useful filly, Sortita, to half a length last time. He remains well treated and can go close here. Top Ticket looks another well handicapped 3-y-o and can be expected to build on a solid second at Beverley latest. The lightly-raced Tastahil and the consistent Tifernati are others worth a look in a trappy affair.
