Nothing went right for WARCROWN on his debut at Goodwood, where he was restless in the stalls and badly hampered soon after the start. He weakened late into eleventh but looks much better than that and is worth another chance here. Choisan was also well beaten last time over 6f at York but put in a better effort over the same track and trip before that and has claims on that effort. Never Perfect looks best of the newcomers.
Newcomer Never Perfect takes the eye on paper and could be worth chancing, though Warcrown is also most interesting given the weight of support behind him on his debut. Choisan is the pick of those with experience.

The Osteopath was a good handicapper a couple of years ago but this looks his level now and he has claims today. Master Of Dance and Nicholas Pocock (was also engaged to run at Beverley on Sunday), both second last time out, have claims also but it's worth taking a chance here on BOLD MARC. He's been well beaten on his last two starts but has collected two nice handicaps at Haydock this summer and should prove too good in this grade if anywhere near his best.
Not much to separate a few of these at the weigths, The Osteopath just preferred to Bold Marc and Nicholas Pocock.

POSITION looked very green on his debut at Kempton and there were still rough edges next time at Southwell when he romped home by ten lengths, and, although this is tougher, he can follow up with further improvement expected. Several others here won last time out but the best effort appeared to come from Lady Layla when winning at Ayr and she looks the one for the forecast. Quick Bite, Loyal Master and New Decade are others to consider.
Position is a fine stamp of a colt and has to be given the chance to see what he can do on turf given the way he left Alborz for dead at Southwell earlier this month. Lady Layla, Quick Bite and New Decade alos look progressive and can chase him home.

Hard to rule any of these out but it might pay to side with last year's winner, CLUMBER PLACE. he's 20lb worse off now but only 2lb higher than his best winning mark and takes a big drop in class today. He should see off these rivals. Ishiadancer turned in his best effort for some time when third at Carlisle and is reasonably treated while Eilean Eeve is fairly consistent but still a maiden after 18 starts.
Layla Jamil was doing all her best work late when back sprinting last time and can resume winning ways back at this more suitable trip. Clumber Place, who won twice over C&D last autumn, and Ishiadancer will ensure she doesn't have it all her own way, though.

CROSS OF LORRAINE seems to hit form this time of year and he arrives here with two recent 6f victories under his belt. He's up 4lb now but won with plenty in hand last time and might be helped by this drop in trip. Sharp Shoes just missed out off this mark at Hamilton this month and looks the obvious threat but Watts Up Son and Dispol Grand are not without chances on their best form.
Cross of Lorraine has won here (6f) the last twice but looks worth opposing for the hat-trick with Dispol Grand, who was only narrowly beaten at Thirsk on Friday. Sharp Shoes looks ready to go in again and is also worthy of maximum respect.

LORDOFTHEHOUSE showed little in three starts last year but looks a much improved horse this, breaking his duck at the fifth time of asking when scoring over this trip at Haydock this month. He carries another 4lb today but there should be more to come and he earns the vote. Tourtiere is clearly going the right way but has plenty to find with the selection while Madrasa is flattered by his form figures and needs to improve.
Lordofthehouse boasts a superb pedigree and having broken his duck at Haydock recently should continue to make up for lost time here. The unexposed Tourtiere is the one taken to chase him home.

Not many speedsters like it soft but David Barron's INGLEBY ARCH seems to love ease underfoot having scored eight times on Southwell's Fibresand surface, as well as registering a heavy-ground win at Ayr last October. He has slipped back to a 2lb lower mark than for that Scottish triumph and can take advantage. Little Jimmy Odsox remains unexposed and could put up most resistance, with Layla's Hero, Spinatrix and Northern Bolt others to consider closely.
Mawjoodah won her AW maiden with ease and is well treated on that evidence, but she does have to prove herself on the ground so preference is for Little Jimmy Odsox, who is sure to be suited by this return to further. Layla's Hero also looks a potential player on only his second start for John Quinn.
