Plenty in with chances here but it might pay to side with the progressive BEACHWOOD BAY, second over 6f at Hamilton this month on just his third start. He tackles handicap company for the first time off a very favourable mark and looks to have enough basic speed to handle the minimum trip. Colourbearer, up 3lb for his game Wolverhampton win and with form on turf, looks the danger, while Madam Isshe and Two Turtle Doves also have claims.
Madam Isshe is proven in the mud and is respected back on her last winning mark, but she has barely beaten a rival on her 3 previous visits to this track, so is passed over on that score. Colourbearer, Beachwood Bay and The Jailer are all at home under these conditions and preferred in that order.

Although he looks slightly flattered by his form figures, FIRST REBELLION is clearly progressing and, after some useful efforts, is worth supporting in this grade. Roy's Legacy comes here on the back of a 5f Kempton success but has to compete under a 6lb penalty, while Emma Jean has turned in some good efforts but her best form has come in selling company and she has something to find now.
Roy's Legacy showed a good attitude when getting off the mark in a Kempton nursery last week and can confirm the form with third-placed Russian Bullet, given he is proven under these vastly different conditions. Kathryn Perry is likely to be more at home over this trip and also makes the shortlist.

KID SUITOR put in a bold effort over 7f at Sandown on his debut this month, headed inside the final furlong but staying on strongly to take second. With that experience under his belt and with this longer trip seemingly in his favour, Richard Hannon's charge can go one better. Although well beaten last time at Goodwood, Hyperlink is clearly improving and has less on his plate today. He looks the danger, with the newcomer Tushuk Tash another that could run well.
Kid Suitor shaped like a certain future winner when chasing home a useful prospect at Sandown recently and is difficult to oppose. Hyperlink and Eurystheus could offer the most resistance.

Although she's starting to look exposed, it's worth giving another chance to ROEDEAN. She only missed out by a neck over 7f in a Newmarket handicap latest, her best effort to date, and can get her head in front back in maiden company today. Good Morning Star looks a nice sort and could run a big race on her racecourse debut, while Johanna Fosie and Fleur De La Vie are other newcomers who must be considered.
The market will prove the best guide to the relative strengths of a whole host of well-bred newcomers, the pick of whom could be Good Morning Star and Fleur de La Vie, but Roedean sets a good standard on her 3 placed efforts in recent weeks and can put her experience to good use now finally tried at a trip that will suit.

In an open affair, preference is for OMNIPOTENT, who showed he'd come on over the winter with a good fourth on turf at Lingfield last month on his seasonal reappearance. He's entitled to benefit for the outing and looks favourably treated on his handicap debut. The danger looks to be Mr Udagawa, up 5lb for a C&D victory but a good enough winner to suggest he could pose a real threat. Ashkalara isn't out of it either.
Mr Udagawa had plenty to spare when landing a ladies race over C&D recently and has bright prospects of following up with conditions remaining in his favour. Fellow C&D winner Ashkalara should also go well if continuing her resurgence, whilst the lightly-raced Omnipotent is another that has to enter calculations.
