Clondaw Knight sports the silks that were carried to an emphatic Grade 1 Albert Bartlett success aboard the late Brindisi Breeze at the Cheltenham Festival 12 months ago and Lucinda Russell's charge will have been well prepared for his hurdling bow. Preference, however, is for MOSCOW PRESENTS who can regain the winning thread coming back to 2m for the in-form Donald McCain operation. Wake Your Dreams boasts plenty of experience and the Market Rasen bumper winner should be thereabouts.

Matthew Riley was comfortably the best of these in bumpers and market support for him back from a long absence would have to be noted, but Runswick Royal created a good impression when scoring on his hurdles bow at Sedgefield and looks set to strike again. Clondaw Knight could prove a different proposition on his hurdles bow.

WHAT A DREAM sneaks into this under bottom weight on the back of finishing a neck second behind Billy Cuckoo at Carlisle last month and that performance suggested he'd appreciate going up in trip. Granted exactly that here, he remains well treated off this 2lb higher mark (93) and he'll prove tough to beat if in a similar mood. Zaru scored over this track and trip under Brian Hughes (won this last year) when last sighted and he's of interest at the summit of the weights on his handicap bow, while the consistent The Friary completes the shortlist.

DAWN RIDE isn't getting any younger at the age of 12 but he landed this race under today's pilot last year and the New Frontier gelding returns to the scene of his last success off the same mark of 91. It would come as no surprise to see him put back-to-back victories together in the race, but Wetherby runner-up Lukey Luke and the relatively unexposed Ahhdehken cannot be overlooked in the build up.

The 126-rated son of Old Vic must give a stone in weight to the majority of his rivals, however, and FIRTH TO THE CLYDE can be the chief beneficiary of that. Runner-up behind the rapidly improving Broadway Buffalo in a maiden hurdle here over 2m last month, he's open to more progress and can break his duck at the fifth time of asking. Billy Cuckoo is up 7lb for his distance success at Carlisle last month and What A Dream could give that form a timely boost in an earlier race on this card. He's well respected in this sort of form, but connections of CATEGORICAL appear to have found their ten-year-old a winnable opportunity and the C&D scorer looks dangerously well treated off 111 on all known form. Of the others, Devotion To Duty might be of particular interest to each-way punters at rewarding odds.
