Martello Tower has won four of his five NH starts to date, including a bumper at the 2013 Punchestown Festival and a Grade 3 hurdle at Cork last time, and he looks certain to be in the shake up again, but KAUTO GRAND MOGOL shades the verdict in receipt of 3lb. Another high-class bumper performer (three-parts-of-a-length behind Martello Tower at Fairyhouse in April), he was just about foot perfect on his hurdling/seasonal debut at Limerick two weeks ago and open to any amount of improvement, he gets the vote to follow up. Free Expression has done nothing wrong in three starts thus far, winning a point-to-point/bumper and hurdle race, and he shouldn't be too far away either.

LUDDSDENENE turned in a creditable effort to land third over track and trip earlier in the month and should remain competitive after a 4lb rise. Glenquest faded in the closing stages when second over 2m6f at Down Royal last time and is a potential improver now reverting to 2m, while a big run from Obispo would come as no surprise as he is able to run off a mark 25lb lower than his chase rating. VAUTOUR hasn't put a foot wrong in five hurdle appearances since joining current connections from France and was so impressive when making virtually all to land last season's Supreme Novice Hurdle before following up in workmanlike fashion at the Punchestown Festival, where he was sick during the week. A strapping son of Robin Des Champs who gives his hurdles plenty of air, he should have no problems making this switch to fences (schooling has reportedly gone well) and remains one of the most exciting NH horses in training at this stage. Western Boy ran the selection to within three-parts-of-a-length in a Grade 2 hurdle earlier this year and he might be able to claim second spot on his chasing bow, beating the likes of Clarcam and Minella Foru.
